Finally the pairing at initial stage of device - get ready to waste time . Without Garmin tech support the device is useless . It is not a plug and play device. Finally if you CarPlay , can not use them both at the same time on the vehicle.

It needs to be connected to your phone to record and it never stays connected. It I want to try and connect it I need to unplug it and plug it bsck in everytime I want to use it. Completely defeats the purpose of it always being ready to record.

Our Dash Cams do record to the installed MicroSD card and do not require connection to the phone unless you are setting up for the first time or reviewing the gallery. Bummer -- no GPS or speed data?

Bought 3 (yes, three) of these, two for my teenage drivers, for their safety and all of our credibility in case of an accident or traffic violation. Apparently, the Mini 2 does NOT record GPS or SPEED data, even when paired with phone & Garmin Drive app. Big bummer!

Trouble with connection

Called customer care, they want me to return and shipping a new one.

Stopped working right after warranty expired.

Seems like an obvious planned obsolescence design. The camera stopped turning on (lights and responsiveness via buttons) and can't be discovered via connection in the app (phone registers a connection via bluetooth, however).

Works half the time

Was really excited to have another Garmin product but it disconnects frequently and has to be completely re-set up every time it does. Not sure why it happens and it seems to happen randomly with no rhyme or reason. Really disappointed overall.

Bluetooth connectivity issues

I always have a problem with bluetooth connectivity. I am sick and tired of hearing bipbip sound !!!!!! I don't even remember How many times i reinstalled app and deleted again !!!!

Data transfer very slow.

Not close enough to wifi to try the Cloud storage. 5 minute video takes over 10 minutes to transfer to my phone. For $100 bucks you can't beat this. Have not dampled video as I have not teansfered out.

Owned for 11 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Absolutely terrible camera worked for a little bit but after a couple weeks would not turn on so i contacted garmin (brand) and they exchanged it for another one that has the same exact problem its probably just and outdated camera but i was hit by a drunk driver and told the camera to save the footage and it did not save any of the footage at all no proof of it happening
