Awesome quality, lot of nice features but expensive and I didn’t use half of available features.

Great watch. Really love it. Only gave it a 4 star because I know the apps aren't always 100%, but for the most part they are. For example...the temperature app takes your own body temperature into the calculation which makes the temperature around you read warmer than what it really is. The maps are pretty accurate, and you have a lot going for you if you get this watch. Really proud of my decision to get the watch.

This is a great watch with a ton of features and excellent battery life. I have had multiple sports watches (including Apple Watch, Fitbit Surge) and I splurged to upgrade to the Fenix 5X. I'm glad I did. It is easily customizable and tracks activities for many sports. If you don't mind the steep price tag, I'd highly recommend it.

I have been eyeing this watch for over a year. When it went on sale I had to get it. Could not afford the 6 series but, for my needs this watch does the job. I also own Suunto watches and the Garmin 5x Sapphire compliments it depending on what application. Highly recommended!

I was very dissapointed in this, but it may be my fault. I thought I was buying a smart watch, with a touch screen, and full connectivity similar to a Samsung Gear or an Apple Watch. This is not that. It is a fitness tracker, and GPS mapper. Its really cool, but not what I wanted. And really expensive for not having it ALL. I returned it the next day.

Switching from Apple to Garmin Fenix is like going from a toy to a real car. It is a completely different experience! I don't think there is a need to talk about built quality and design - those are outstanding. As for functionality - it does more than you will probably ever need.

the watch looks nice and performed well but was too heavy for me. Ended up with 935 which has all but mapping feature but much lighter

Amazing product, upgraded from the Fenix 3 HR. Totally worth having the maps. Didn't make sense Garmin only put maps on the Fenix 2 & 5 and skipped the 3 but definitely made up for it. So many different capabilities. Primarily using for mapping back country hikes as well as cycling.

By far the best watch/activity tracker I’ve ever had. Purchased to track runs and bike rides but was pleasantly surprised at how convenient it was to track my golf game. That plus the battery holds longer than I would have expected make this one a great tool for me.

My boyfriend loved it! Was perfect for his ability to track during cycling. Heart rate, Pace, cadence. And was able to set those up and see all 3 on the same screen in the order he wanted. Tons of features and Garmin itself is amazing!

I absolutely love this watch. The fact that you can download different faces is just cool in itself. The 5X is great, the step counter is accurate within a couple of steps. The various other features are great as well. You won't be disappointed.

I purchased this watch to replace my Fenix 3 Sapphire and I'm so glad I did. The watch's heart rate wrist monitor is pretty accurate for my resting beats per minute, and it seems to be lighter than mt Fenix 3. I tried the golf feature and it seems pretty neat, still learning.

While I think the "smart watch" interface could use some work, this is a phenomenal sport watch. The maps, activities you can choose from and the connectivity to other various fitness devices makes this a must own piece of gear. Cannot recommend this enough.

This is a great fitness watch but that being said it is for serious athletes. I felt like this was way over my head. If you are into triathlons and that sort of thing it’s perfect! I was looking for something a little less complex so I got an Apple Watch instead.

I've had two fitbits and a different Garmin fitness tracker, but by far this is the best. I love that it is techy but not too much on apps, which was the point for my purchase. I got it because I plan to do more hiking and the gps/maps are the best on this.
