You get what you pay for...
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have had several different, low-end Garmin models and something always went wrong with it. I finally took the plunge and spent some money for this puppy right here. Man, it is definitely worth every cent I paid for it. It is amazing. It just does everything better than the low-end models. If you truly want to keep track of everything you do all day and want the customizable faces and so you can see what is important to you, then this is the watch for you. If you lift weights, this thing keeps track of your reps and your sets and will allow you to adjust your weight and reps if it's a little off. They do have auto sets but it's in Beta and it's not very good because it doesn't account for rests during sets so you can't squeeze a few more reps in. Once you stop or pause, it will end your set. Really sucks. I wish I could give it 5 stars, but for some reason all of my Garmins have one issue in common... BLUETOOTH CONNECTIVITY ISSUES! This drives me crazy. They need to just switch to Bluetooth 5.0 already. Sometimes my watch will be disconnected and I had no idea or I will go to sync my watch through the app and I will see that my watch is disconnected. Can be very frustrating. Thank goodness it's very easy to reconnect. Double edge sword.

Nice purchase
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great watch for outdoor sports enthusiasts! I wish the display was brighter to see all the tracking information this device can display while you are exercising. Easy to download apps and tons of useful features. Some option take up a lot of battery life but in overall, I am very satisfied with my purchase.

Super all around Smart Watch
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The fenix is a pricey option to smart watches but it has more data collection than others that I have priced. Battery life is excellent but reduced when in tracking or map mode. It still gives me days of life and recharges quickly.

Nice watch, but extremely overpriced.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Nice big watch with good options for very specific people who might need them, but the screen and button only operation takes away the fun. I got this watch after my Samsung Frontier's battery started to drain in less than 6 hours, I searched and came up to this watch as a long term battery life without needing to recharge constantly or every other day. I like that it is big and looks robust, but I hate the screen, it is a good and weird technology at the same time, the brighter it is outside or directly under the sun, the better and easier to see it, with better colors and details, but in dark spots, you must relay on the backlight, and the more you use that, the faster you drain the battery, not to mention that while using the screen backlight, the colors and details on the screen look awful. I would have kept this watch if I had bought it for a lot less than half what I paid for it, but with the money they ask for this watch, I can buy 4 Samsung Galaxy watches with 5-6 days of battery life, a real bright and nice screen and a lot more options. Again, this is a nice watch, but definitely not worth the price tag.

Workout metrics galore and customizable but...
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This was an upgrade for workout metrics from the Apple ecosystem and much improved battery life. Tons of content to customize your gadget. Doubles as a cycling computer. However, if you are very familiar with the Apple ease of use experience strap in. The Garmin software needs significant improvement. It is not intuitive and frustrating.

Good watch for all weather
||Posted . Owned for 7 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The only reason this review does not have 5 stars is that the band that comes with it, after a lot of wear and tear may break, got it replaced for free with warranty and watch has gone through a lot of different weather conditions and works flawlessly, easy to use for beginners and the Navigation is accurate.

Great Watch, many options, display not "crisp".
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Trying to replace a 5-year-old Tom Tom Watch that had onboard music so I tried most options that have that ability. This jumped on sale so I decided to try it. Beautiful and well-built watch and many options/functions that I would never use. Heart rate sensor is sketchy but that is inherent to most optical wrist-based sensors. The biggest disappointment for me was the clarity of the display. It seemed to never be "crisp". Very disappointing with a watch at this price! Possibly it was the Sapphire crystal? Whatever the reason, I find that the display on the Garmin 245 music to be easier to see/clearer than this one. The displays are the same size (1.2") and resolution but the Fenix is a much bigger watch

Get it
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Absolutely great watch for fitness junkies. Great GPS, just the right level of "smart" watch and great battery life. My only issue is that some functions like the pulse oximeter and sleep stages seem too flaky to be more than a novelty.

Garmin 5
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Nice watch, well built, gps seems to be a bit more accurate than my other fitness watch. Haven’t used music functions but I like the durability and design so far. A little heavy but not uncomfortable

Great functionality as a smart watch and fitness.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This watch is exceptional for those people that are fitness oriented but don't want to compromise the convenience of utilizing a smart device. Great battery life, above average GPS tracking abilities, built-in pulse oximeter, accurate HR monitoring and many other useful features. The only compromise I found with this watch is in the strength training settings. The automatic exercise detector is somewhat inaccurate and requires constant user correction when editing the exercise summary of what strength training activities were completed during your session.

Amazing GPS watch, great customer service
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Garmin Fenix 5X Plus is a pretty awesome GPS watch. I use it mainly for running, but it is extremely versatile. I am looking forward to using it for golf. Unfortunately, mine had a minor issue after a week of use, but Garmin's customer service was fantastic. The vibration function started having an audible buzzing sound. Garmin quickly sent me a label to return the device and they sent out a brand new one. The only downside is I was without the watch for a few days.

Great watch
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The battery life is unbelievable-it lasts for weeks!! The biggest adjustment was the watch size and the band. Replaced the watch band and it seemed to help with the heaviness. The golf course activity works great on the course-it gives the distance to the green. There are so many uses to this watch! I would of given 5 stars had it not been for the band and the “free” ones that came with it, didn’t even fit.

Awesome watch!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have a fenix 5X and I bought the Plus to see how much better it was. They recently updated the 5X non plus so it now has Galio as well. Having music built into the watch was cool, but I decided to just keep my old 5X as I usually don't listen to music during runs nor use credit cards from my watch. If you do not have a Fenix 5X, the Plus is an awesome watch, it for me not worth the Steep upgrade price.

Very Happy
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The only problem I have had has been figuring out the buttons after having a touch screen for years. But the buttons have been great in that I don't accidently trigger something that I didn't mean to, only to discover hours later.

Great fitness / hiking watch!
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This watch is feature packed and can take a little time to master, but it gives you robust metrics for fitness. Plus, it syncs with my iPhone using the Garmin app and provides weekly statistics. The HR monitor is also something I refer to several times a day.

Big but a Great Value
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great watch, but it is big. Its not the height, but the over footprint that is large. The price it is, to get into the Fenix line is worth it and the size starts to go away the more you wear it.

Great watch for hiking
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had like for over a month, been using it for trail running, biking and hiking. I love the build in topo map for hiking or backpacking while getting lost. Beside the size I’m happy with it.

Harmon Denizot plus
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It is excellent as far as timekeeping. Excellent as far as mapping. The challenge has been the altimeter. I live at the base of the sierras and my travels I enjoy knowing altitudes. GPS locations and mapping. I would enjoy keeping it all coordinated as I enjoy camping. I have calibrated on site and at home. The altitude is askew within an hour or two. If there is a fix. Let me know. Great watch otherwise.
