I upgraded from a Fenix 3 to the Fenix 6 Sapphire. I love this watch! The VO2 max estimate and associated race predictions are much more accurate than before. I like the training load / focus feedback which encourages me to be more disciplined with my running pace on recovery days. Onboard music is nice for the rare days when I want it. My main criticism is with the optical hear rate monitor. It is completely useless for running. I've tried various levels of snugness and location on my wrist. It always reads ~25 bpm higher than actual. I have a chest strap but I was hoping to have the option to leave it behind sometimes. If you aren't going to put a screen protector on your watch then I recommend the Sapphire. It does make the display a little harder to read though compared to the standard glass due to being more reflective and allowing less light through. One more thing. I initially bought a Fenix 6 pro and it had the washed out screen when the backlight was used. I returned it to get the Sapphire. The below picture shows the difference (pro on left Sapphire on right).

The watch itself is solid with features for real sports driven individuals but when you start running and it says your heart rate in the 50s to 70s bpm (which I know is not true), that makes you wonder all the other data it reports are true. I guess am back to apple.
