Customers are pleased with the fēnix 6X Sapphire Smartwatch's long battery life, durable build, and multi-sport capabilities. They appreciate the improved GPS accuracy and the scratch resistance of the sapphire glass. While some find the price to be a drawback, many believe it is worth the investment. Nice watch but no touchscreen
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The watch has many features but not having a touchscreen is a deal breaker. Having to navigate with the buttons was too difficult at times so I returned the watch

The HR measurement is very very faulty.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Heart rate measurement is very faulty. If I knew this has been a known problem since 2019, I will not buy. You have an expensive gadget that cannot do a simple HR monitoring. Consider that much of the calories burnt calculation is based on HR. So I have a situation where this gadget is telling me my average HR in a 30 min treadmill workout is 160. Wrong. I wasn’t stressing that much especially when My resting HR is in the 60s.

Great Watch - Hindered by Garmin App
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this watch through Target, but it's this same model. The brown leather brown has a bit more of an orange hue to it in person, but in my opinion still looks great. If you're a previous Apple Watch owner be prepared to do more work when it comes to setup. I received maybe 4 -5 connection errors when first trying to sync for the first time. Even after successfully pairing the watch There are still connection issues maybe 65% of the time. Even now I still can't get weather to populate on the widget page even after resetting, deleting the app, following instructions from a YouTube vid, etc. Luckily, these issues should all be software related, meaning as time goes on Garmin can update the app firmware and watch firmware and get rid of some of these bugs. Pros: The Quckfit bands are great and the process of removing and installing is as simple as the Apple Watch. A ton of features, more than I'm sure I'll ever use. The size, I personally love big watches so this fits the bill. In direct light/sunlight the screen is very easy to see. Battery life, no longer have to charge every night! Cons: App software, it's still buggy - in Garmin's defense this might be due to the new iOS 13 software. The screen colors aren't vibrant at all so if you like vibrant punchy colors look for a watch with an AMOLED screen. I'm used to being able to flip my wrist and have my watch screen turn on/light up to show the time. This watch has no such feature so when trying to view time in a dim room or at night you always have to press the time button. It's more inconvenient than I thought. It would be awesome if Garmin could implement a firmware update that allows the option to enable the screen light to turn on when flipping your wrist. Overall I'm enjoying the watch. It's clearly aimed more towards the hardcore athlete. For everyone else, I think Garmin's new Vivo or Venu would suit better.

Garmin’s customer service is a disappointment
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. What good is a fitness device with inaccurate heart bpm? Perhaps most of the other +++++ reviews are paid? Over the past 10 yrs, this is my 8th and last device from Garmin. A total disappointment with its gross lack of accuracy, hardware failure (within the past 48 hours it froze twice, could only correct it by letting the watch battery drain completely and then recharge it). Software design and options are mediocre, annoying at times and inefficient. To make matters worse, Garmin’s customer service is an even greater disappointment with its gross lack of professionalism, incompetency and no respect for Garmin patrons (durring all my 12 encounters and 7 hours I’ve wasted with them)!

I’m a bit disappointed
Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I brought this watch in August 2020, use it everyday and rarely take it off. The watch is nice you can change the faces to make it more interesting and unique. But overall as far as the fitness records and accuracy of the monitors this $1000 watch needs some updating! The heart rate monitor as others have said is extremely inaccurate. I could be ready to pass out from from a intense workout and the heartbeat monitor will read 125. Or I’m relaxed and all of a sudden it jumps to 170. I think this feature is one that should be completely worked out by this point. So I try different things to make it more accurate. Tighten the watch to my wrist, doesn’t change and also the lights will leave what looks like a rash on your skin. Loosen it, that doesn’t work then it’s sliding up and down your wrist as you move. I don’t think the reviews on here are accurate about this watch honestly. When jogging on the indoor track, the sign says 16 laps per mile but this watch it’s 12 laps per mile. Maybe this is a gps problem, the watch is on a WiFi network while I’m in the gym. I don’t know what is going on here either. It definitely needs more work or updates to make it better. Another issue I have like others that own a iPhone, is the connectivity. You don’t get all your notifications and will never get a text message notification. The Bluetooth seems to drop out, so it fails to notify you of emails calls etc.. Also I’ve noticed if I don’t go on the app while the watch is connected some of my progress for the day will not upload. For example I do all my workouts in the am, anything I have done from 3pm to 12 midnight failed to get recorded. So my watch will say I walked 16,000 steps but only 12,000 will be reflected on the app the next day. It’s basically like the watch and app stop communicating unless you open the app and refresh it. More often now I been finding myself having to turn my Bluetooth off and on to get the watch and app to sync. You would think these two basic functions wouldn’t be such a issue but it really takes away from being able to monitor your progress. The battery life is good if you use a boring watch face I get about 3-4 days with the face I use. If you want a nice digital watch with some extra features buy it. If you want that and a watch that’s great for recording workouts monitoring your heart rate I don’t think the price reflects what you get in this watch. The only reason I brought this watch was I got tired of waiting for the mk2 to drop. If garmin is looking at these reviews, be nice if you take this watch back and give a reasonable credit on the mk2 when it drops.
