great purchase for my granddaughter how runs cross country in college

Bought it as a gift for my daughter and she loves it.

It does everything I need it to do to track my runs.

My girlfriend uses it and loves it. Entry level, so don't expect too many heels and whistles, but that is what she appreciates. Do not get if you need Bluetooth functions.

trouble setting it up because you have to use your computer to set it up rather than your phone which could be done in store

Sorry, Not reliable. Battery life isn't good. I did a half marathon and it cut off before I was done.

1st it said that it tracked steps, heart rate, bp, and sleep. No it doesn't. It tracks steps & runs. No heart rate. No BP. Nothing about your sleep schedule and pattern. Am not happy with the product and not happy about the instructions being in a foreign language. Best Buy won't take it back. I will never buy another product from them!

The Garmin Forerunner 15 doesn't sync with phone. I didn't want to upload the info on my computer.

For the money spent it should automatically connect to phone

I am not a runner but I bought this sports watch so that I could determine how many miles I walked or kayaked in a day. It does both of these measurements beautifully. I found it a bit complicated to set it up the way I wanted because the instructions included in the box were minimal, but by looking on line and reading users comments and advice I was able to figure out what I needed todo.

I've has all kinds of watches and this one does what I need and is easy to use. It works every time as far as gps goes, and seems pretty accurate. Plus, it looks good =) I lost my $250 Garmin and bought a Soleus to replace it, which was a huge mistake. I'm back to Garmin! Highly recommend it if you don't need all the bells and whistles and just want to track miles and time and pace!

I have been using the Forerunner 15 for a couple months now. My wife and I liked it so much that I also purchased one for her. My wife and I started 5K training in the Spring. I found that most of our trainers used GPS watches to aid in training. This model was highly recommended due to ease of use, performance and price. I first purchased a Forerunner 15 for myself which was a huge aid in training having the ability to track pace. My wife seen how much this was helping me and wanted to purchase one. This is a relatively inexpensive model, so it doesn't have all the bells and whistles of the more expensive models. The following really aren't complaints (mostly nitpicking): It supports heart rate monitor, but you have to purchase separately. It doesn't support bluetooth, so you must use an adapter cable to sync. Display options are limited, as it will only display two measurements at the same time. No biggie, but it won't let you select every combination, only "preset" options, but most combinations are covered. Like I said, not complaining because it works great and the Garmin Connect application syncs and works well with other websites/applications such as Calorie Counter, myfitnesspal, etc. I would definitely recommend the Forerunner 15 if you're looking for a basic GPS watch that is reliable, easy to use and works great.

I was a little hesitate about buying this watch but I love it!! I did not purchase the heart rate monitor but I do wish I would have, but it is great for tracking runs.
