Bought this for my husband after his Fitbit Surge battery died. Always his complaint was the battery, and we hope this one will last longer. He uses it for running, and general weightlifting plus some walking.

Best running watch on the market IMO, this is the middle of the road watch with just enough features to keep me happy without spending over 300$.

Best running watch easy to use, simple UI,accurate and you get notifications on watch (can answer calls on watch but no microphone on watch so you have to use your phone) display is bright.

I choose this watch over another fitbit or polar. I had both a polar m400 and a fitbit surge and they both broke in about 12 months. So far the only issues I've had with the garmin is understanding the software. It has a ton of options and usually I don't read the instructions and just figure the product out. It took me a few days to actually get the watch faces I downloaded to work but now that I have them I really love this watch. It's comfortable and durable. Seems pretty accurate on runs and locks on to GPS quickly. It's my first garmin product and I'll be using them from now on for my fitness needs. The audio prompts while running are great for keeping pace and a good way to keep an eye on your heart rate.

I purchased the Garmin 235 to help with monitoring my runs (GPS) and the wrist based heart monitor is excellent. I like the comfort and the ability to just look down to see my stats.

The first one I bough was DOA, a simple drive back to the store that day and I got a replacement, without any hassle. It is a great product, fun to use and has lots of features. I would recommend it in a heart beat. Which it tracks very well along with steps, distances and alot of other things.

Got this to replace an earlier version that did not receive text messages. Really enjoy the alerts coming through. Display is clear, distancing very accurate for outdoors. Comfortable. Love the opportunity to swap the bands with other ones from aftermarket retailers. Two criticisms: 1) it is not low profile and often gets caught on things - sleeves, pockets, pack straps 2) after 2 years, the battery seems to die kind of quickly when I’m not using it. Possibly needs another update, but I find this unusual.

Love this watch!! I have small wrist but it's not heavy. I can connect with my sisters watch and we compete daily on our steps and activities which then motivates me even more. Downloaded a hike app and it works good. Can't say enough it's so cool !!

Would recommend this watch to anyone who runs. I find it better than apple of Fitbit. It’s durable and water proof. Very accurate with tracking distance. My main problem I had with my old Apple Watch was that it was a touch screen so if I was sweaty or if my hands of wet and I tried touching stop or start it would mess up. This watch is not touch screen but has a back button, run button and up and down buttons. I don’t think touch screen watches are for runners really. The Apple Watch I thin is more for looks.

I’ve been enjoying the 235 since Christmas. Syncing to the phone gives you lots more options. I couldn’t decide between the 235 and Vivo. My don’t got the vivo and I’m kinda jealous because it’s screen is touch sensitive and mine is not. On the 235 when I run on the treadmill the cadence seems to be off. The treadmill has me at 5 miles and the 235 has me at 6 miles. Not sure how it could be so off but am going to see if it needs to be calibrated or something. Overall happy so far. Have yet to take it on the open road but looking forward to it.

Easy to set up with all my different running accounts. I really like the fact that you can lock the watch while in uses so you can't stop it by mistake in movement. The lager face makes it easy to read. Really going to enjoy this watch for a long time.

Having had a Fitbit for 5 years, I was very worried about switching to a Garmin. While the app isn't nearly as exciting, the watch is amazing. If you are a runner, or even a walker, this watch is for you! I love being able to use the GPS to track my runs! Also, I have tiny wrists but love the fit of this watch. The band is super soft!!! Depending on how frequently I use the GPS feature, I can get over a week out of the battery before needing to charge it. Charging is also way easier than it was with Fitbit. Oh and did I mention I can swim and shower with it! I love it!!!
