This watch was very easy to setup and functions as listed in its review. I've used mine in the ran, mud and underwater (swimming). The only thing negative for me is with phone alerts on it's hard to return back to monitoring mode, but this might be a user issue.

I needed to replace my running watch and took this one based on the information on the box. So happy I did. Easy to learn and gives me all the data I need about my run. The GPS feature works like a charm And it is easily visible when I am running!

Bought this for my daughter for Christmas. She is an avid runner. Was torn between Garmin and Fitbit watch, went with the industry leading Garmin. SHE LOVES IT, posted her joy with the watch on FaceBook. Best decision going with Garmin.

This is my second Forerunner and it is an improvement over the 230. More features (the ability to select free watch faces is nice) and a color screen make tracking your fitness efforts a little more fun.

I am currently a collegiate runner and I love my Garmin. This is the second one I have had and I wouldn't trade it for the world. It's perfect for my training and helps me track my heart rate so i can get the most out of my workouts.

Within a month of using the watch I woke up one day and notice the screen had cracked. I have no clue how this could have happened. I work a desk job and did not do any activity that would be rough on the watch. After trying unsuccessfully to submit a claim online (site is not user friendly) I finally called garmin. They said it is not covered under warrenty and offered to fix it for a $50 fee. The features of the watch are great but the low quality of the screen, lack of battery life (2-3 days) and non user friendly software and support it is not worth the price of the watch.

Love the functionality and the fact that it uses tactile buttons rather than a touchscreen. Smart notifications work seamlessly with an iPhone and fitness tracking works great. Garmin should definitely be your go to if you are looking for a watch that can do it all!

we bought my son an expensive iWatch and he hated it and would not wear it. We got him this watch and he loves it. It works great while he is practicing and racing.

I bought this to track my runs. I prefer it over my Apple series 4 watch. The running metrics this provides is great. I like the my farming app as well. I would recommend to buy this if you are a runner.

The watch works just as expected. My son is a runner and uses this watch to time himself when running. He's had the watch for a year and not one complaint.

I purchased this watch for my high school daughter. She is an elite runner and it was time to upgrader her from the Nike Watch in 7th grade. This watch does it all and she loves having it to improve her times and can wear it out to look good as well.

The Garmin was a gift to my SO for Christmas. He feels that the watch is more complicated than he expected. He has yet to coordinate it with his computer to track his athletic progress... Hope he discovers what he can do with it!

This watch is very feature rich. Had it a week now and still learning. Combine it with MFP for a really comprehensive tracking system. That said, I eventually opted for Vivoactive with music storage

This is a great watch for running. Distance is very accurate. Optical heart rate monitor is not accurate in general, but is good for long consistent runs. Probably better to get the 230 and save $.

Great design, great features for the price point. Firmware seems to be lacking a bit for the Bluetooth connectivity but everything else works great. Was a nice upgrade from previous forerunner 225

I wanted to use this to pair with my WHOOP, but you need to go up to the 6 series to get support for non ANT+ senors. It is confusing because the guide says there is support for external HR monitors.

My wife's Fitbit went out so I gave her mine to use. I had been looking at Garmin watches for a while and had my eye on this one. The reviews were good and the price reduction was better.

I’m sure this is a good watch but I returned it. I’m a runner but wanted a watch that looked nice to wear with work clothes. This watched screen looked old fashioned. For how expensive it is I wanted something nicer looking

I went from a Fitbit Versa(cause mine kept messing up and wouldn't sync..I have had 4 Versa since January..not good)...so I swithed to the Garma Watch. Hopefully, I won't have the same problem with this watch.

Love this watch, I had the 225 before this one. I like that I can change the watch face, I get call alerts and I can answer my phone (call goes to speaker or Bluetooth). This is an outstanding running watch, I can't comment on swimming or biking.
