Love the features on the 235 compared to the 220 I replaced. It has heart rate monitor, steps, and is so easy to use.

Solid running watch. I like the Connect IQ feature where I can install additional apps for exercise profiles, but the watch is unable to track much outside of walking/running activities. Great for people who want a GPS watch, but don't need to drop a few hundred dollars on the higher-end devices. Would recommend to look at the newer version of this watch though simply for Garmin support purposes.

I've had my Garmin for almost a year now and its been reliable. GPS is very accurate and the watch itself is very sturdy. I'm pretty clumsy and I've smacked my watch into many hard surfaces and its only got one scratch so far! I do wish it had some other features I've seen on other Garmins such as stair flight counter, for example. Notifications work alright and sync pretty well to my phone. Sometimes it disconnects and reconnects quickly for no apparent reason but its never been a huge problem. Overall I really like the watch but I would love a few other features/apps.

I've had the surge and charge HR and they do not hold a candle to my 235. The 235 is more accurate for running, biking and even steps. The messages are easy to read and everything syncs up quickly. The big selling point for me is its water proof. I want to be able to shower, swim and do the tough mudder and keep my watch on, I can do that with the 235. The app still needs work but Garmin is working on that. This watch is definitely a keeper!!!

The watch has great battery life, and has no issues syncing with my phone. It's easy to learn to use as well.

First I should mention that I really dislike wearing watches. That said, I enjoy wearing this one as much as I can. The tracking for outdoor running is great, however the indoor running (treadmill) is off by about 1/10 of a mile, not sure how to adjust that. It's great to see my progress and the little badges are cool I guess. it becomes a lot more useful when bluetoothed to your phone, so you can see everything more accurately. For $150 it was a very solid buy.

Garmin is one of the best watches I have bought so far. It is stylish with all the looks that you can display on your watch, the tracker is pretty good and once you are done with your workout and you are close to your phone, it syncs really fast on Garmin app and Strava to show your activity + the map or track where you were running. The watch battery can last up to 7 days easy which is really convenient. It is simply a watch to get and keep.

Does everything I need. Connects to GPS quickly, keeps my records, suggests recovery time, keeps track of VO2 max, and has anticipated race times for various distances based on your runs. Oh and not to mention the daily tracking of steps, heart rate, distance, calories burned, and floors climbed. I'm not sure how accurate the day-to-day heart rate monitoring is, but It's definitely good for showing your progress over time. There's certainly other watches with more frills, but this one does the job, even for advanced runners.

I purchased this when there was a major sale at $140 and it is easily worth half again as much. Easy to program, customize faces, and use. I run 4-5x and averag more than 20 miles a week, and it does everything I need. The only glitch is that sometimes the HRM seems to match cadence even when effort varies. Pairs easily with chest strap HRM. Battery life is excellent. GPS very accurate.

For running purposes, this is better than an Apple Watch. It can occasionally take longer than it should to connect to GPS, but when it does the GPS. Tracking is super accurate. I’ve found the heart rate monitor to be very accurate as well. The battery life is not as great as advertised, but it can easily go about 5 days on a full charge, including several runs, if the GPS is toggled off when not using it. When it does need to be charged, it thankfully charges quickly.

I am a beginner runner and received this watch as a gift. It provides helpful data like recovery time after exercise, and can predict your 5k time. This information motivates me and helps me train better. The batter lasts about 4 days but it depends on how much use the gps. I also like that you can download apps onto the watch, I have downloaded a stargazing app onto my watch, which was an unexpected perk.

Great watch for running and hiking, great battery life and tons of features.

Nice watch- durable for training, accurate and gooD looking. I trust the Garnin name and this watch does not disappoint
