All I wanted it for was to track my hikes and runs. Distance, time, speed, and pace. It does just that. I rarely have to charge it during non activity. Even with activity use, I don't have to charge it for another day or two. The one CON is the connectivity when you start the activity. It makes you wait several minutes sometimes. As for a recent marathon, it didn't connect until a half mile into the race. I tried to start it 10 minutes prior.

I got this for my bday in March and I absolutely love it. I am reviewing 7 months later and perfect watch. It is really accurate and no problems. Battery lasts a long time which is awesome. I am SO happy with this purchase. A leading tracker watch gets awful reviews so I didn't want to spend a lot on that and get a dud so I got this one and SO happy I did!

This is our second purchase of this watch. I got one a couple months ago and love it. It is MUCH better than the Fitbit I had previously that broke in less than six months. My significant other decided to get the same one. Both are holding up well and we are very active people. I never take mine off except to charge. It is waterproof which I like a lot. Data seems accurate as well. Again, much better than the Fitcit Charge 2 I had previously.

I own a lot of Garmin's. In fact, I'm a Garmin groupy (or junkie, whichever you prefer). I was out of town for a couple of days and forgot to take my high-end Garmin running watch, so thought I'd just go buy a 'travel Garmin' I can keep in my go-kit so I wouldn't forget it anymore. I decided to just pick up the least expensive GPS connected device, the Forerunner 35. When I unboxed it and turned it on, I was amazed to find that it had all the features (and more) of my 2 year old (and 3 times as expensive) high end Forerunner. It doesn't do biking or Triathlon like my more expensive model, but this is the perfect GPS watch for the casual runner.

Overall, I'm very pleased with the Forerunner 35. The battery life is very good compared to other products in this category and is very comfortable to wear all day and night. I find the resting heart rate to be very accurate. The heart rate during activities sometimes measures higher than actual in my experience. I use the Garmin Heart Rate Monitor strap paired with the Forerunner 35 during activities to more accurately record my heart rate.

This watch has a built in GPS, so it provides data on distance, pace, etc for outdoor running. But it also has options for indoor workouts that don't need GPS such as treadmill running. It also provides monitoring for other forms of exercise, like cycling, and has a daily step counter. All the features I need for around $150, and so far much more reliable (and cheaper) than comparable Fitbit models.

    Overpriced Activity Tracker

I have had this watch for almost a year. I wanted a stand alone activity tracking watch to help me train that did not require a bluetooth connection every time I used it. Initially, I thought it was a great find. It tracked my activities well both when connected to my phone and without the bluetooth connection. It was easy to set up and use out of the box. After a few months, I started to notice a glitch. The watch sometimes fails to record my activities. For example, I will initiate an activity and the timer will start, but distance and heart rate information will not display during the activity and the only data recorded at the end of the activity is "---". It is truly frustrating when trying to track my runs. The heart rate data is not accurate, but that was not my major concern. If you want an accurate heart rate monitor for training purposes, this is not the watch for you. This watch is a simple activity tracker (when it works). It is not a training watch as it is not sensitive enough to accurately record changes in heart rate or speed.

This product is very easy to use and it comes at a reasonable price. I am a runner and it’s is great for keeping your pace, time, heart rate, etc. it is water proof as well so if u swim a lot, this will be a good choice for u. If u r a beginner and looking for a cheaper and easy watch to use that can do the basics of what you need, than this will be a perfect pick.

Easy to use, tracks pace/heart/distance. Got this when I was doing half-marathon training and it was very helpful. I use it all the time, the charge lasts a good amount of time, I only need to charge it once or twice a week. I've had one for about a year and still use it almost daily, my wife got one too and really likes it.

Lets start with the fact that the battery lasts forever. Ok, how about over a week. With five 45 minutes GPS runs and HR on. That is great. I have another watch that lasts 2 days at best. The watch is fully visible in the direct sun. It is a little smart with texts. It syncs with my Samsung Note 8 without any issues and even does the mapping with a Google Earth background. Highly Recommend. Especially for High School Track and Cross Country runners. This is perfect for them to track and get better.

Much better than my older previous Garmin device. Time acquiring the GPS satellites is about the same. Not any faster. The Bluetooth makes syncing really easy.

I was a little hesitant on getting the FR 35 as I really wanted a heart rate monitor chest strap. I would give this product 5 stars if the wrist heart rate monitor would be more acccurate. If you are doing an intense workout the wrist heart rate monitor will not capture the accuracy of your heart rate. I have a Garmin heart rate monitor chest strap and synced with the FR 35 and it works perfect. I would highly recommend the FR 35 and recommend that you purchase the heart rate monitor chest strap if you are looking for an accurate ready when doing a intenese workout.

I have only used the walking GPS feature. It is great. When you connect to a computer it even shows on a map where you walked. I also love the heart rate feature. I am looking forward to using the bicycle tracking feature. I enjoy it very much.

Easy to use. Tracks my miles/distance accurately and allows me to set walk/run intervals and alerts me without me having to constantly look at my watch to keep track of walk/run times. Tracks heart rate & even vibrates & tells me to “Move” if I’ve been sedentary too long.
