I am an Apple guy who did not have an Apple Watch and was trying Garmin to get it to interface with my Garmin gear for cycling. It did not do everything I was hoping it would at least not without some quirks and hoop jumping. Maybe in time and with sw updates it may be an all around good device.

This watch does just that. I had a Samsung Gear previously, but without my phone in close proximity, the Gear was terrible with distances. This Garmin is a no-frills, great distance tracking watch. I can leave my phone at home. It tracks the distance and heart rate accurately. If my phone is close by, it does alert me to a call or text, but you can't answer or respond.

I needed to find a relatively inexpensive GPS enabled watch that would fit my very skinny 12 year old son's wrist. This is the only one we found that look "cool enough" that he loves to wear it to track his steps and as always it is packed with features to help him become a better track runner. Garmin interface rocks, the quality of their product is pretty solid and this is no exception. He loves it and so do I.
