My first Garmin and it’s awesome. Light, accurate, and long battery life.

Great battery life, accurate gps, and a wealth of fitness metrics make this watch a must have for any runner. Got it to start running again and my Apple Watch wasn’t giving me what I needed. While the phone connectivity freatures (at least if you have an Apple device) can be limited, I actually have come to appreciate being “unplugged” from my phone a bit

It's a great tracker with excellent battery life and great GPS accuracy. The screen is great and the stock watch faces are very nice. The sleep tracking is a disaster. Most everything on this watch (Body battery, training readiness, HRV status, etc) relies on sleep tracking accuracy but it's terrible. If I turn over in the middle of the night, it will show I was awake for an hour. I have other sleep trackers I use that are more accurate, but I shouldn't need them. According to Garmin I always have an awful sleep and it's not even close. They need to tone it down because its too sensative. Ill keep the watch, but all those great training tools are useless because of this one poor feature.

I tried the Epix Pro gen 2 and the Apple Watch Ultra 2. I really like the Forerunner 965 best of all of them. The form factor is a bit smaller than the other two and I barely notice I have it on. The screen is a massive upgrade from my previous Garmin watches. The health metrics are a significant upgrade from my Apple Watch. Battery life is incredible. Overall, extremely happy with this watch!

I have zero complaints about this watch. All the running features are excellent as expected for Garmin. But there were a few things I wondered about before buying. SLEEP - One of my biggest concerns was sleeping in the watch. It's pretty comfortable to sleep in. The strap is flexible/breaths enough and the watch itself is JUST light enough to be comfortable sleeping. QUALITY - The new AMOLED display is also really nice. Is it worth more than the MIP display on the 955?... Maybe not. But I'm not upset that I went AMOLED. Maybe more importantly, I really like the metal around the bezel. It feels a little more premium than other plastic smart watches. And for something not super cheap... It's nice to feel nice. BATTERY - Another thing I wondered was battery because some online reviews varied on that point. I've been running about 25 miles/week with GPS on, streaming music from the watch, but not keeping "always on" mode set during the day. With all that, I'm charging once per week. I could probably get 9 days though before battery would actually die. Overall it seems fine. It does charge fast. Every Friday I throw it on a charger at my home office during a 1 hour meeting, and it's at 100% when that meeting ends. If you're on the fence, I'd say get it!

The Garmin Forerunner 965 has been an outstanding companion for my cycling workouts. The GPS tracking is incredibly accurate—even on winding roads and long rides—and it consistently records key metrics like speed, distance, elevation, and power data (with compatible sensors) without missing a beat.

Exactly what I wanted. Very bright screen and great running accuracy.

My husband loves the features of heart rate, rest advice and the sleep tracker. He also gets to play his Spotify playlist straight from the watch and leave his cell behind while he does his runs.best of all is the battery life it only needs charging every 10 days.

Battery lasts 2+ weeks. Easy to use and comfortable wear. Favorite watch I’ve ever had.

I've been using this watch regularly for quite a while now and it's great. It does what it's supposed to do. I think it's great that they upgraded the display in the newer model to the sapphire crystal as I have acquired quite a few scratches in this one. I was disappointed at first, but now I don't really care. Battle scars. ;-) p.s. Swapping out the band for a nylon band was a game changer. Much more comfortable than the silicone band.

Excellent multisport watch loaded with features. The new screen in this model is gorgeous and easy to read. Battery life is very good (one week of usage was 26%).

The best Garmin for running. The price is worth it. A bit hard to use but watched a video on YouTube.

I am training for a marathon, and I had always used an Apple Watch since I’d taken up running about 2 years ago. I never had the Ultra or anything like that. Only the SE models which seemed to work for what I needed it for at the time i.e. distance, hr monitoring, etc. This watch is a different animal entirely. It has features that you didn’t even know you needed. I particularly like the insights that it gives you around sleep and recovery. It tracks your quality of sleep to the intensity of your workouts and tailors a recovery plan for you by showing your “body’s battery”. It is a must if you’re loking to seriously train for high-intensity sports while posessing the most insightful data available in wearable tech. Highly recommend!

Excellent watch for wearing all day and track your workouts. The 965 has all the main features and I don’t need a flashlight on the watch like in the 970. I bought 2 of these one for me and one for my son who runs daily.

Bought this watch as a replacement for my wife’s Instinct. She recently hired on as the Cross Country Coach for the local High School, and has been an avid runner/athlete her entire life. This watch has so many features she is still trying to learn, but each one is a pleasant surprise and upgrade. The screen is easy to read even when her arm is swinging back and forth. Easy to operate and change functions on the run.

The screen is top notch definitely bright enough! For running it has everything you need for statistics. The workout functions and training plans are great! Goal setting is awesome and the battery life is excellent! Definitely buy
