Bought Forerunner 970 after returning Forerunner 570. If you have the money buy this one over 570. 570 is missing too many features that come on the 970. Only $200 more for the 970. Don't waist your money on 570.
Forerunner 970 does it all and is light weight, great battery life and a flashlight. No bainer.

This is an impressive GPS smartwatch that blends rugged design with advanced training features — ideal for runners, triathletes, fitness enthusiasts, and anyone who wants a powerful performance partner on their wrist.

This watch is such a significant upgrade from the Vivo 4 Music I am replacing. The display, touchscreen and battery life are just a few things I am really enjoying about this watch.

I ended up returning this watch and decided to keep my 965 for now. The 970 truly is a great product but a bit to buggy for me. This is clear by the fact that Garmin is releasing many bug fixes which is amazing. Until then, I’ll wait till summer and see where we stand. Other than that, this is a lightweight, bright watch that is a great successor to the 965.

Switched from an Apple Ultra 2. Loving the Garmin when it comes to fitness tracking. As a runner and someone dabbling into triathlon this is a game changer when it comes to feedback during workouts. Also love the battery life compared to the Ultra 2.

Great so far. I planned on getting the Forerunner 570, but decided to spend the extra cash for the maps and other cool features. Will be utilizing more after I get clearance to start training again.

This watch meets and exceeds expectations. The flashing light during activities is a great safety feature though does require more frequent charging. The screen on this watch is bright and crisp, showing message previews including pictures. This is my third Forerunner watch and I'm hooked on the latest.

Great buy! Great for tracking your heart rate with an external Heartrate monitor (I use myzone device). I was looking for a watch where I can view my heart rate zones while I trained for Hyrox. Highly recommend. Great battery Life!

The Garmin Forerunner 970 is a top-tier running and triathlon smartwatch that sets a new benchmark for Garmin’s performance lineup. It’s packed with cutting-edge tracking, advanced training tools, mapping, and smart features — ideal if you’re a dedicated athlete seeking every advantage. That said, the premium price and feature complexity mean it’s best suited to serious runners and multisport athletes rather than casual fitness fans.

Great watch with exceptional performance and health features. However with this price range missing things are LTE , passive ecg tracking and many other advance health related features if you compare this with Samsung , Google and Apple watches. With this price it's not about only sports but personal well being tracking should be considered as priority.
