I purchased for the long battery life and the GPS as my phone would sometimes lose GPS on hikes in areas that I would not consider remote or obstructed. (Kettle Morraine areas of southeastern Wisconsin.) I have not been disappointed!

I would call Garmin - instinct as my old Casio pathfinder on steroids. totally loved it. Got all the basic smart watch function and its more accurate than my wife's Fitbit. It is super light.

Really like all the features but two items to point out. 1. Have recharged watch twice so far since owned and definitely did not get 20+ days; closer to 10. Not sure if there are settings that make it last longer or what but i do wear it 24/7. Its still impressive at 7-10 days IMO. 2. I dont like that the app doesnt track my workouts live so i can review progress during my workout. It only updates once workout is complete and syncs. Also worth mentioning that my wife and i run our peloton app at the same time while we walk and the Garmin watch mileage is always slightly more (ex. 5 mile walk on Garmin is 4.8 on our phones' peloton app (she has iphone, i have android) but i beleive Garmin is more accurate.

Great entry level watch. Easy to use and syncs with the app. Seems accurate. Battery life is great - a few weeks! No regrets.

This watch works great for tracking your runs. It is accurate and looks nice.

Son is in EMT school and needed a watch for patient care with hour/min/sec displayed, also long battery life. This is perfect.

Have had this watch for a few months now, paired with their hr monitor as well. This watch is awesome, as is the garmin connect app. Started training for a 10k recently and it builds out a whole plan for you with a coach and videos. I do wish i would have gotten the 2x or the 2 solar but this is perfect bang for buck ratio. 10/10 recommend. 12/10 if you are a data nerd.

I am still wearing it after a year. Simple face. Long battery life. Many workout options. It is an all around great watch.

I've had this for some time now and with the job I do being out in all types of weather this has been great. I'm very rough with watches. The options on the Garmin are set up and run better than I expected. Battery life is exceptional.

Bought this for my husband. He normally doesn't like to wear a watch but he really likes this one and all the features. Battery lilfe is really long too.

Watch works well. Does a lot more than expected. Charge last a long time. Definitely better than Apple Watch if you are just using for exercise.

I purchased this watch for my husband to better monitor his heart health. Great for calculating miles when riding or walking. The email and text feature is great. Just wish it allowed you to answer from the watch. Just an FYI for people with vision problems back ground is dark and sometimes hard to see. Battery life gets A+. Overall great smart watch.

This watch is great for me. After having Samsung and Apple Watches, this one really fits the bill. Long battery life, a screen I can read just about anytime and great gps outdoor tracking. If you don’t minds previous gen watches, this was a great pickup at the price

Great watch, great battery life, easy to use. It hasn't let me down yet.
