Many appreciate its GPS functionality for outdoor activities and the ability to track various health metrics, including heart rate and sleep. However, some find the lack of a touchscreen and the size of the screen to be drawbacks. A few customers also mentioned that the price point and interface could be improved.

    Great outdoor watch

Very durable and rugged. Love the track back gps feature to help find your car in a big lot, without using your phone, or mountain biking track back the trail you took, to find your way back, from your wrist. Fairly expensive for a watch that doesn't have a color screen, but when doing outdoor activities you find you prefer this contrasted visual. Lastly, takes a while to figure out the buttons, not as simple as a Galaxy watch, but not too bad. You eventually are able to navigate this watch without looking.

Not really a good one for runners

Overall it has a lot of features but I noticed a couple of things that were not working for me. My workouts wouldn't transfer to the watch correctly and I talked with support 3 different times. It also would sometimes lose its connectivity to my phone. The thing that bothered me the most is it doesn't adjust your hydration on your app. My older Garmin Vivoactive 3 did. I finally got someone on the phone that knew the Instinct doesn't do that and let me know that the Instincts are not for runners. This is more for hikers according to their tech support. On the plus side it is extremely durable! Battery life is amazing on it. Certainly for someone who does hiking where it can hook up to satellites instead of cell towers.

    Activity tracking optional ?

Great battery. Activity tracking like daily steps, sleep and heart rate are optional. I ran a 10k but the daily steps were off, so even when I turned the activity tracking on, the daily steps never came on. Lost 5 days of daily activities. Audio prompts have to be activated for every use. Doesn’t remain on. Otherwise great watch. Lightweight too.

You are not paying a lot so don’t expect a lot. This watch is pretty good at doing basic things such as tracking steps and heart rate. The basic interface is really clunky though and it takes some study time to figure it out. It’s light and tough and the battery lasts about two weeks depending on what you are asking it to do. If you are looking for a robust watch with basic features then this is a great one.

    Good watch - bad unit

Really liked the watch. Love the capabilities with the feel of a regular watch. Having an apple watch this felt more natural, but still has the capabilities that I wanted in a smart watch (with better GPS). The problem I ran into with my unit was a bad magnetic compass. It was roughly 40º off, which is obviously unusable. I did all of the troubleshooting with no fix. So, for now, back to my Apple Watch. I would recommend the watch, but definitely go through and use all features to make sure it works correctly.

    Not Worth the Money

It's nothing special for $200. I use it most for walks and running, but the GPS lock can take a long time to activate and sometimes not at all. I've gone for out & back runs where the distance traveled out is different for the distance coming back following the same exact path so I don't have much faith in the accuracy. Tried using the TracBack feature when I was in a different country, but could never get a GPS lock. But, it looks nice and the and the battery lasts a long time. The compass is a nice feature too.

This watch is amazing despite the fact that it causes skin irritation i have never seen from my apple watch or similar samsung watches. It caused my skin to peel on the location of the HR sensor.

Bought the Instinct watch to keep track of steps and also for hunting. The watch doesn't keep track of steps but it's ok for direction and tracking.

I dont like that it doesn't automatically starts, stop and record data of my workout. I mostly work out indoors because of where I live and connecting to gps to track my active activities usually fail. I didn't realize before ordering that it's features are mostly for outdoor activities. I still kept it,though until I find a better product that tracks both indoor and outdoor activities. It is also dark so it's hard to read or check data.

A little complicated, if you are used to the simplicity of a Vivoactive or Fitbit. But many useful functions, for those who like to be outside. It’s a must to download the online instructions; sadly they do not list all of the symbols/icons, that the watch uses; one has to find those separately.

This watch is a low end model, but has a lot of great functionality. It was easy to setup, but I still have not been able to quickly use feature when I need them. It is not intuitive to me. But, viewing the stats on my phone about he heath things is great
