This was a gift for my daughter who graduated from Paris Island SC. She had told me its great and tracks her physical training syncs with her Samsung phone flawlessly. It went through IBT training without a scratch and currently going through security training. She has to charge the watch about every 4 days. She wears the watch on the inside of her left wrist. One day she dropped her phone and caught the phone in her left hand just before it hit the pavement. She turned the phone over and the face of her phone shattered. Her phone hit the face of the watch and that is what shattered her phone. One tough watch.

Relatively inexpensive outdoor oriented sports watch. Easy to read in direct sunlight, long battery life (running about a week for me even using GPS for hikes), light and comfortable. Pre load courses into watch, it will help you stay on the trail and guide you back if you get lost.

Amazing battery life. 16 days strong, waterproof, and very easy to use. Couldn’t be happier. Couldn’t force myself to use the Apple Watch enough to validate that kind of money so got this one instead and am very happy overall

Works great!! Boyfriend loves his new watch! Battery lasts a long time. He really likes that he can use it so much, especially to work and not have to worry about the screen breaking like the apple watch.

Bought this as a gift for my boyfriend not just to be used as a running watch but a multi-sport watch. We do a lot of hiking and this watch is super durable and also useful on the trail - he loves it!

With the great sale price, I decided to give this a try. I am using it for motorcycle touring tethered to a Pixel. It's fun to see the altitude profile and I find the sunrise/sunset function useful. It's not too thick (gauntlet gloves will fit over it) and very light. I'm amazed how quick the watch acquires the satellites. The battery lasts all day. It's neat to see text messages....

Really like this watch. I got it as a gift for my dad who normally wears a Casio G-Shock. This seemed to be the closest smart watch to that, and he's very happy with it. I must warn though, to set it up takes some time. I'd set aside at least 1/2 an hour to maybe even an hour to set this watch up to work with your phone. Durability is top notch and battery life is several weeks. I'd say the biggest downside is the black and white display.

I got this to replace a Garmin 35 that was also very good. I like the Instinct the face gives lots of details and you can avoid scrolling. Battery life if very good. Took it on some long hikes and it downloads details very quickly. I still have difficulty getting to run mode which was simple on the 35.

It works great for what I wanted & that was to monitor my heart rate. Battery life is awesome, getting a full 2 weeks on a full charge. Five stars if it measured floors accurately. Some days it says I climbed over 100 flights of stairs and it makes me question steps and calories.

Overall, the watch is everything I was looking for with 1 minor caveat. I switched from an Apple watch for 2 reasons: I can't have wifi at my work and the battery life is super limited. With the Instinct, I can go 2 weeks between charges of every day use and at least 5-7 days with daily GPS use. But its the GPS that knocks it down a star. I ran the same exact 3.62 mile trail run (acquired GPS at least 30 seconds before I started each time) 5 times but this watch only got anywhere from 3.35-3.42 miles because it cut corners during its GPS updates. The Apple Watch through the Strava app would consistently get 3.58-3.6 miles so it is much more accurate. That is a 10% swing and very frustrating.

Love the color! I think kinda big for my wrists. I’m 5’2 130pounds. I loved that it’s rugged, can stand high heat temperatures, Waterproof, tracks my progress, plays music, Allows you to receive messages and phone calls. There is a lot Different features within this watch.. wish the Garmin Manual had more information on setting however I just watch some YouTube videos that other customers had created very helpful. I noticed this watch has definitely available settings on a IPhone and Galaxy. I feel like the iPhone has less things this watch can access maybe because it’s older Model compared to my iPhone

Overall it has a lot of features but I noticed a couple of things that were not working for me. My workouts wouldn't transfer to the watch correctly and I talked with support 3 different times. It also would sometimes lose its connectivity to my phone. The thing that bothered me the most is it doesn't adjust your hydration on your app. My older Garmin Vivoactive 3 did. I finally got someone on the phone that knew the Instinct doesn't do that and let me know that the Instincts are not for runners. This is more for hikers according to their tech support. On the plus side it is extremely durable! Battery life is amazing on it. Certainly for someone who does hiking where it can hook up to satellites instead of cell towers.

This watch is STURDY! My husband works with machinery all day, often in a very tight space where his hands and arms get all banged up, this watch has not a scratch on it. If it were my Apple Watch it would have shattered by now for sure. If you work in a tough, dirty, hands on type job, this is worth it for you just because of the quality.

I needed a rugged waterproof smartwatch and this watch meets my needs. It may not be pretty and it's a little large, but it has taken a beating with my outdoor projects.
