This watch is great, so much better than my old fitbits (yes, I had more than one, which all died within a year!). The Garmin is very comfortable and has all the features that I really wanted. Very happy with this purchase.

This device has a good range of tracking features with a lot of visibility to metrics within the app. It has a great, masculine look and feels more substantial and rugged than similar devices from other companies. However, if you are in need of a smartwatch that handles texts well, go with a device from another company. My husband needs a smartwatch that displays incoming texts sufficiently for him to tell at a glance if he needs to pull his semi over and read the message asap (ex:traffic alerts or route changes). On the Instinct, texts pop up for a split second and display only a few words on the preview. Getting back to the text after the notification disappears is also not very friendly. He checked one evening (while safely on the couch at home) and it took him (no joke) 11 clicks on the Instinct to get back to a short text and scroll through the entire message. Sadly, as much as we liked the styling and rugged nature of the watch, the text issue resulted in it being returned.

Great watch, does everything I wanted and more. Battery lasts longer than expected.

I bought this watch for the MGRS GPS system. So far it has not let me down. The battery lasts roughly two months a charge.

This watch was a gift. Fits comfortably, tracks sleep and steps perfectly.

So I had a Polar and I loved it until it crapped out, but I saw this watch. Didn't need Wear OS so this was perfect. Fit's comfortably, don't need to charge it constantly, and it gets me to where I need to be. Love it!

Has all the features without being a smartphone on the wrist

When I was looking for a Garmin I really wanted a Fenix. However, it was out of my price range. So I started to look up different reviews on other watches. For me I felt this one came the closest to the Fenix for what I was looking for. I like to hike. This watch has plenty of features and keeps track of everything really well. You can chage the face options to your preference as well as the color to light with black numbers which I prefer better. I've had it for about a month now and no complaints. It's the best bang for your buck so to say in my opinion.

Had another watch by Garmin, right at the end of my extended warranty part of the watch that the band was connected to broke, they replaced the watch with this one. An upgrade from the other one. So many functions, many I don’t use. The functions I use work great. Love this watch. I like it better than the Apple Watch.
