It started as a watch that I wanted so it can help tell me the elevation I was at whenever I go hiking but it’s also helped keep track of my health and challenged me to improve and reach the new goal every day. I’ve only charged it twice in the month I’ve owned it and I’m pretty sure I can go a few more days if I lowered the brightness of the light. Overall it’s a great comfortable watching

Has the features I was looking for.good GPS, good heart monitor nice exercise tracking program good battery life. The biggest complaint is that takes a somewhat complicated combination of button pressing to operate , manual is not all that good.

Good not great. The view screen isn't the best especially if you're challenged with your eye site. It also randomly chooses settings so when you're walking, it might turn on that feature. To be honest, I'm not the best to review this product because I'm not one to "read instructions" and get all "techy". So for the cost, it's a good watch. The battery charge stays long. Solid product overall. And it looks good for that athletic look and the light up feature (blue) looks good.

I bought the Instinct after my Apple Watch Series 1 did an auto update which failed miserably and caused me to factory reset. So far I've been pretty happy with it. I can't get over the battery life. It's crazy to go days or weeks on end without charging. I dinged it a star for two reasons. First, it's not 100% intuitive and I still sometimes forget how to get to the feature I'm after. Which of the buttons and in what order do I press? Second, I hate proprietary charging. I misplaced the factory cable and had to order a new one. I have 1000 micro-usb cables laying around which I could've used...if only. Death to proprietary cables! The GPS feature is nice. Not only do I use it to track runs, but I was also able to save waypoints for cool spots we found while boating on vacation.

So I wanted a garmin watch for gps and for basic health tracking information. I didn't want a full out smartwatch. This watch has everything I was looking for and more. From heart rate monitor to step counter to gps to even notifications it ticked off evey box for me. Then it started ticking more boxes I didn't realize I needed/wanted. I got this for 199 over the holiday shopping season. If it was any higher I don't think I would have bought it and would have missed out on a great watch. I think it's the perfect price @ 199 though. Overall I am very satisfied and am very glad I purchased it.

Let me start by stating that I really like this watch! I like the built in wrist HR monitor, access to weather data, and ability to receive alerts from my phone. What I don't like the most is that it does not include touchscreen capability (as in previous Garmin watches). Although this makes learning the watch a little more time consuming, it is not that bad once you have the hand of the navigation. The other thing I really don't like that needs work is the watch band. It looks and feels like it's made of a different material that precious watches and is not as robust. Given my experiences with other Garmin watches, the durability of this watch band may not be as long as their other models. I hope to be proved wrong though. Overall, the features outweigh the cons and it is a good upgrade for the time being.

A little clunky compared to a true smart watch, but features work great and love the battery life. With mixed use it will last 2-3 weeks, fully s from dread in a couple hours, and can get several days with heavy gps usage if careful. Only downside is the band, the watch will easily outlast 3+ bands.

I have really enjoyed this watch. it has held up to the little torture I have put it through, water, work, and occasionally hitting it on something. so far no scratches or marks. I did put a screen protector on it just in case. the customizing options are great, you don't get as many options as you would with a smartwatch, but personally, I didn't want a smartwatch. it is a great activity tracker and overall watch. it has performed great for everything I have needed. Garmin Connect is very easy to use and great as well.

Purchased this to replace a forerunner watch that worked faithfully for over 10 years. Although it took me awhile to figure out all the menu settings, now that I have a handle on it I am very pleased with this watch. The band is very comfortable and the functioning of the watch has kept up without issue. GPS has had no issues connecting in all types of conditions. Longest use so far is 6 hours using GPS and the battery still had plenty of life left. very satisfied with this watch.

I previously owned an Apple iWatch (first model) and the display frequently made images hard to read and navigating the UI was cumbersome. I was also concerned about the ruggedness of the early iWatch. The new Garmin Instinct looks like the Casio G-Shock watches that I've owned for years but has all of the smartwatch features that I desired. I'm still learning the extended functionality for the watch but the display is great and the watch has a good battery life thus far.

Great watch for those who don't need touch screen. I like the non-color display, you can invert the colors and change the style of the watch face. Just wanted something to bring some more functionality into day to day life. I don't need to pull out my phone each time I get a notification. Also great battery life. Have had it on for 4 days now, only 1 bar down. The silicone band does feel pretty flimsy, though comfortable. We'll see how it holds up.

Amazing watch!! Battery life is great. I wear it everyday. Messages come through tracks my steps and workouts. Highly recommend. Solid I had this watch for almost 2 years. I bump into things all the time with it. Watch is really tough. Remember to rinse it off in water after working out, the pool, beach.

Very durable and rugged. Love the track back gps feature to help find your car in a big lot, without using your phone, or mountain biking track back the trail you took, to find your way back, from your wrist. Fairly expensive for a watch that doesn't have a color screen, but when doing outdoor activities you find you prefer this contrasted visual. Lastly, takes a while to figure out the buttons, not as simple as a Galaxy watch, but not too bad. You eventually are able to navigate this watch without looking.

Absolutely, a great watch. Very comfortable band. Awesome watch face. The fiber reinforced polymer is recessed. This is wonderful due to me bumping into things. The battery is amazing. I can't believe how long the charge last. Highly recommend this

This is a great watch for all physical activities. On it's own does great with your location with the GPS and compass. Tracks very well when I go on a walk or run. With working out in the gym it keeps track of your sets but you have to manually start and stop them. The heart rate monitor is much better than the Versa. Overall this is a great watch that is loaded with features. It also pairs well with the iPhone 11 whereas the Samsung watches have had problems.
