I had a Samsung active 2 before this, and the technology on the Samsung is way better than this Garmin. The screen is so hard to read, it's not touch screen, and it's confusing. I just got it today, and I literally have a headache from trying to use it. Because the display is awful. You can't adjust any watch display settings from the app. Way too expensive for the limited technology. The watch is comfortable and seems durable, but you have to hit the backlight button to see it. There's no way to get your steps on the main screen. Returning this in a couple days.

One of the worst and most disappointing purchases i've ever made. i bought 2 of these (one for me and one for my GF) thinking that since it was Garmin (and the price) that i was going to have a watch that would last with accurate features. The features are practically useless, the interface and button sequences you have to press to get to the features you want would mean you worked on the team that designed it if you really wanted to use them. and when you do, they aren't accurate with the junk app. some features would randomly come on (like fitness tracking without telling you so it would run for days for no reason, and it would put itself into low power mode no matter what battery life it had). watch band lasted a year. battery lasted 2 years. now it wont even attempt to charge, just a blank screen that wont even turn on. totally dead watch. i bought 2 of these, one for me and one for my GF. we both had the exact same issues. hers still charges but lasts about 2 days before having to recharge, which takes hours. wish i could go back and buy pretty much any other watch on the market.

Garmin is a great brand of watch but this particular one is very overpriced. The watch face isn't adjustable and you are stuck with the default watch face that's on there. For a $400 price point I expected more but it definitely does everything else well far as heart rate monitoring change steps and GPS navigation but if you are a particular person about changing your watch faces every once in awhile when the mood arises this isn't the watch for you.

This watch has a lot of attractive features and my main purpose was to use this for fitness tracking and to synch with my iPhone. I played around with it for a day. I downloaded various Garmin companion apps as well. The watch face is only monochrome and for older eyes like mine is hard to read. Overall I found it too difficult to use for my purpose. I ended up returning this watch and bought an Apple iWatch instead. I love the iWatch and for fitness purposes I highly recommend it.

I purchased this watch just over 2 weeks ago. My take so far: the battery life is a lie. I charged it fully on Sunday, and put it on Monday morning. The battery life said ‘25 days’. Its now Wednesday and it says 15 days! The first charge lasted about 5-7 days and said 24 at the start. The steps are very inaccurate (i hiked a mountain and only recorded 11k steps for the entire day-the hike was over 5 miles). It also isn’t accurate in recording flights of stairs. It always says 0. Maybe my settings are off, but im certainly not impressed. I will update after returning this watch for an exchange.

Watch looked great and looked durable. I couldn't figure it out, it was complicated. Even though it was paired with my phone it never would receive notifications

I've been using Garmin for about 5 years now, and recently switched from the Garmin Instinct to the Instinct Solar. Saying I am disappointed is an Under statement. The watch is supposed be solar powered which sounds great on paper and all, but only if the battery actually was holding the charge. I give this watch a full charge on a Monday, run about 5 miles a day at the lake, my battery dies within 5 days, wit battery saver mode on.

Need to retrun the item , but customer service have very bad , I tell that i did not open and retrun it , it say you are only one after you retrun period , very bad customer service in Newington , CT breanch

Cost too high for a watch that doesn’t allow for apps add ons

I love love loved this watch until the battery life went down after 3 months. Now less than a year later and it dies after a half hour. What a waste of money

It doesn't charge with the sun!!! I have tried many times

Buttons are uncomfortable when trying to switch from one solution to the next. Just changing the date to match the time is almost imposible. The lighting is very week. Would not purchase again

This istechnolgy is way behind. Its hard to read and it looks cheap.

It’s leaking battery acid and burned my battery wrist!

Too complicated for old guys like myself, returned to store.

Had the watch for about 3 months when it completely stopped working. It won't connect to my phone, it doesn't get any notifications, it won't even show the correct time. We tried everything we could think of to reset it and start from scratch and nothing worked. For as much as it cost I'm VERY disappointed it only lasted about 3 months.

Too hard to figure out. We could not get anything on the watch to work. Someone else that had a garmin watch couldn’t figure it out.
