I’ve been using a Garmin vivoctive for about 5 years. I upgraded to this watch. As an active person, I’ve found the profile to be a bit bulky. I’ve snagged it multiple times and it’s not as comfortable on my wrist. I’m always ready to take it off as soon as possible whereas that was not the case with my vivoactive. I frequently accidentally stop the clock on my long workouts by somehow bumping the button. I have been challenged to learn how to use it after having the vivoavtive. The vibrate notification is so loud and strong, it frequently vibrates off the counter when I’m not wearing it. I’m not sure that’s necessary, I have a landscaping business, I enjoy rock climbing, and I hike and camp. I like having the solar function, gps, phone notification so I don’t have to have my phone. I love all the functions that I enjoyed with my previous watch. The battery lasts forever and does charge as long as my long sleeved shirts aren’t covering it. So if the Garmin manufacturers read these reviews, I would like a flatter more comfortable watch with all the same functions.

The notifications, exercise and GPS tracking were smooth: overall great watch. Charge lasts decently long. However, I bought it for GPS capabilities and would nearly always have issues with acquiring satellites at higher (not by a lot) elevations. It's good for hiking easy trails but not something I'd rely on for expenditions. On some long empty plains, I had cell reception and still no watch GPS. Maybe it was user error on my part, because other than that, great watch. I'll use Garmin for fitness but stick to Suunto for navigation.

The watch does a great job tracking my swimming and my walking. Unfortunately, though, I am now waiting for my 3rd watch. The first watch after about 8 or 9 months would just stop working. Since I have a Best Buy membership, they gave me a new watch. The second watch worked well up until now when like the first one, it would stop working. I thought maybe it needed to be charged, so I charged it, and it showed it was charged for 25 days. I thought that was the problem only it wasn't. In one day, it went from 25 days to showing 15, and then it shut itself off. I'm now waiting for my third watch. UPS has a driver who doesn't like to deliver. It is the 2nd time that this UPS driver stated couldn't deliver my package because I wasn't home. When I was and I checked my security cameras, no UPS truck ever drove on to my street. I know this for fact since the way my street is everyone that drives on it must drive past my house when pulling onto it and leaving. Hopefully the 3rd watch last long enough for me to save up enoup to pay the difference between this watch and the newer version of it. I just don't have $165 to spend since I'm still trying to recover from hurricane Helene

Had this watch for a little over a year, the battery life is excellent and the myriad of features - like finding my phone - have been a great asset. However, the watch has recently begun to have power failures, with it shutting down when alarms go off. Not a watch I could recommend for long term usage, especially when the price on sale is $30 higher than it was a year ago.

Neat watch if you can get it on sale. I was under the impression that the GPS was constant, or that it would track. It does not seem to, it also does not work in any tree cover, it does not work if you are with 20' of a tree so if you are lost in the woods, you will still be lost in the woods. Probably not a big deal if you were stranded on the ocean or the in the desert. Solar recharge is neat but a gimmick. The band it comes with is very uncomfortable and sticky. The oximeter and pulse barely work. The watch interface is clunky. One button reads set and also reads back. I don't think it sets anything, I keep pressing it instead of the the actual set button which is the GPS button, interestingly this button only says GPS and nothing else.

Great watch and easy to use. Connected great to my Phone and other devices. Just wish I could do more with it.

Solar doesnt really work. Left outside for 3 hours and got maybe a (+1%) added to the battery. The battery is that great either. Its starts off draining slow. 99%, 98% then jumps down bigger negative increments of charge. ( note: face displays days, hold "menu" to view charge in percentage. Sleep monitor doesnt work well. I havent been sleep well lately. Been waking up a bunch. Wanted this to record and visual report what was going on the following day. There were times I woke up several times or laid there staring at space and it recorded it as light sleep. Yea that was especially disappointing. I picked this watch because I wanted some low profile smartwatch. I really like how it looks. Didnt want a christmas tree on my wrist It doesnt download apps or new watch faces. That didnt bother me. I can control media, see calls msg and record workouts. Btw how it knows that im doing a pull-up is wild!! Bravo. Its a great magic trick and thank you. But the pitiful solar charging, overstated longevity, and unreliable biometrics made me feel like I got hustled. Summary: darn you garmin for making think about this watch more than I should have.

The watch itself is alright. It tracks what I aimed for but I thought it would be touch screen. For the same price, I might as well should’ve gotten the apple watch

This watch is not good for someone with vision problems. We could not get it bright enough to be seen comfortably. We returned it for store credit and purchased a watch more suitable. The idea of a solar watch is cool. Just needs some tweaks.

The battery life overall is disappointing. Even being outside in direct sunlight the watch does not fully recharge. All other functions work great but I expected more from the solar capabilities.

The delivery was great. Wasn't pleased with this model. Returned it.

Overall it is good but doesn’t count flights up and down that accurate. Battery life is ok (4 days if active) compared to the 14 days they advertised.

The watch itself was pretty great. However it was rather think and just stuck out on me. I have a fairly skinny arm and it looked odd. Otherwise I would have kept it.

Amazing!it is very comfy but if you’re not a sports guy this watch is not for you.
