Posted .Sorry to hear about that. You will need a device that came with a suction cup mount in order to use this mount. The ball joint on this mount fits the same bracket or insert that the suction cup mount attaches to.

This works as it is supposed to. It held the GPS unit up and did not slide off the dashboard. I had to put it in my personal item carry-on at the airport, it weighs a ton. I stuffed it in the checked luggage on the way back so it was okay.
