This alternative mount is so much better than the windshield mount as is stays in place and does not detach as inside car temperatures affect the suction cup on the windshield mount.

This is our 2nd base. the first one we have had for several year and love its ability to sit almost anywhere. We bought a second Garmin and needed a great base.

My garmin gps kept falling off the windshield and It was very frustrating. I saw this dash mount on line and I decided to try it since it was only $20. I am so happy I did. It works great. It stays in place; never moves. The best thing about it is the fact that I can move it from car to car with ease.

Mount does a great job of sitting still. Does not move while driving and way better than those suction cup mount that alway fall off windshield. A no brainer!

This pad works much better than I could have even hoped for. No more suction cups coming loose. Where ever you put it on the dash board is where it will stay.

My wife and I have Garmin nuvi GPS devices in our vehicles. She has the Garmin dash mount that has a slightly sticky surface on the underside. I have the version that is like a miniature bean bag. Both stay on the dash very well, but the type my wife has leaves a slight residue -- which I periodically have to clean off. My dash mount, on the other hand, does not do this, so "maintenance" is easier with this Garmin dash mount! Other than this difference, either type of Garmin dash mount works very well.

Love the vehicle mount for my GPS. Used to have a window mount with suction cup but was not viewable from driver seat. This mount is perfect and stays put.

I was pleasantly suprised with how well this item stays on the dash despite movement with the car. You can place it so it does not obstruct vision and is easy to view while driving. It is so much better than my previous Garmin that used the suction cup on the windshield which left 'O' marks which this does not at all!

This mount stays still no matter what. Once the Garmin GPS system is in place on it, you don't have to worry about it moving or shifting around. Love it!

A great alternative to the original suction cup. It just works. It is very stable and it stays in place. Make sure you clean the surface of the dashboard as dust can affect the stickyness of the bottom material.

This product provides a great alternative to attaching your Garmin GPS to the windshield. I set the Garmin GPS portable friction mount (with GPS attached) in various spots on the dashboard and did not experience any problems with the GPS moving. It stays in the same spot even when riding on rough roads. This is great since some states don't allow mounts which are attached to the windshield.

The Garmin vehicle mount is awesome in holding the Garmin. It does not move and it doesn't impair your vision compared to the original holder you attach to the window.

This was not what I originally was looking for as a dash Garmin mount but found that it provided the best flexibility between both cars. Great dash mount for my Garmin.

Works really well! I was actually surprised at its stability, even though the stand does not physically attach to any surface.

Highly recommend. Gps screen easily pulls off to remove from car or input information. Doesn't move on dash at all very secure and so nice not having it on the windshield.

I am looking for a gps vehicle mount for my wife. This is a great, just put in the dash board and ready to use. It is steady while you are driving. My wife was so happy.

I have had many different dash mounts over time to secure my oft used GPS in place on the dash of my vehicles. This model has proven to be the most dependable and I have several of them. It easily works in several different types of cars from my SUV to my Classic '77 Corvette. It stays in place in all types of driving conditions. My only minor complaint is the cloth material does fade over time if left on the dash. This however is not a big deal and does not alter the performane of the product.

THE MOUNT IS VERY USEFUL, YOU CAN PUT IT ANNY PLACE ON THE DASH WITHOUT BEING IN MY LINE OF SIGHT. MY FRIEND LIKED IT SO MUCH, HE IS GOING TO BUY ONE FOR HIS OWN TRUCK.

This the best mount there is in my opinion , it stays put on the dash , give you better view of the road, easy to see, easy to set under seat over night, you have no mark on the windshield , that tells the robbers that you have one in the car.
