    I purchased this because the holder we had attached to the window by suction and it stopped working. Did not want the same kind so tried this one. It sits on the dash board and stays in place. It works great . I like it better than the original one.

    There have been occasions where the GPS mount that attaches to the windshield has come loose. Also, when the GPS is attached to the window, I cannot easily reach it to adjust. This one always stays in place and I can easily adjust it's location or viewing angle if I need to.

    Continued to have trouble using the suction cup mount that came with the GPS, so purchased the friction mount expressly made for Garmin devices and I am completely satisfied. Went back to purchase the second unit a few days later.
