I checked the reviews and this one had good reviews and some bad ones. I am glad I bought this one. I have a Honda Accord and Civic where it fits perfectly on the dash in the area in front of the info center that displays mileage data, etc. The mount has stayed secure over bumpy roads and fast turns, etc. It may be a different story on top of the dash, but where I mounted in our cars it is a perfect fit and stays secure. My rating is how secure and safe it is in our cars. Your mounting requirements may be different so I suggest looking for reviews with similar mounting requirements.

I have used this in both our cars and have not had any issue with the stability or gripe of this mount.

This mount is great. It never moved or shifted as I drove. I am still able to see out my window. It never blocked my view and it locks in place. Thanks.

On June 27, 2019 I purchased the Garmin - Vehicle Mount for GPS, Black to go with my new Garmin Drivesmart 55 Traffic GPS. It was easy to attach. I purchased this type of Vehicle Mount because I've had one before, a different brand as I had a different brand GPS and I found it to be more effective than other types of vehicle mounts.

If you want an easy way to hold your GPS without any hassles or worry this is the device for you.

First time I used this type of mount and like it. Feels solid on dash and does not move. Good system to lock unit in yet easy to unlock to put GPS away. Recommend this for your GPS.

I bought this mounting platform for my Garmin GPS on a recommendation. It has a nonskid base that really keeps this 6" unit from skidding around on my dashboard. It also does not transfer road bumps to the viewing screen, making viewing easy.

I tried out both Garmin GPS vehicle mounts and I found that the beanbag type mount was much more stable than the moldable base type mount. I found that the moldable base type mount would rock side to side when going over bumps/potholes but the beanbag mount would have hardly any movement at all. The only thing I noticed with the beanbag mount is that when you go over some serious bumps that the mount would walk a little on my dashboard. So every once in awhile I would have to slide the mount back to its original position. Just something to be aware of so that your GPS unit doesn't fall off of your dashboard if you're not paying attention to it.

Better than a window suction cup you may never use one again this is got plenty of Ballaston wait to sit on your dashboard without moving

This weighted stand hold the GPS perfectly, and keeps it from sliding on dashboard. I use my GPS frequently and this stand is so much better than the window suction cup.

Have a car with one of those L-O-N-G slanted windshields? It’s so hard to reach so far forward to stick it in place and locate it in a place where it doesn’t block your view. I got this weighted friction bottomed mount and it can go anyplace you need it on the dash. My wife is shorter and I’m quite tall and we can simply slide this vehicle mount wherever we need it on the dash to allow maximum visibility....plus...on those long windshields you can slide it closer to you to see detail on the GPS much better. Great accessory!

Opted for this item as it makes it possible to mount on any flat or uneven surface on your dashboard. I can position the Garmin GPS now either to the left or right side of the steering wheel, on the dashboard of any car that I am driving.

This "sand bag" style mount is great! It stays where I set it on the dash and I can set it on the floor later so it doesn't bake in the sun. Love it.

It doesn't slide around the dash and it is really easy to use and hide with no suction cups and marks to deal with.

I have a Garmin Drivesmart 60LMT GPS. I was using the suction cup that came with the unit. My GPS was failing off the suction cup and onto the floor of my car on a fairly regular basics. I called Garmin and they suggested the vehicle mount. I was somewhat hesitant. I bought it through Best Buy and I love the vehicle mount. It is weighed down so when I turn a corner it does not slid. Nor does it slid when I have had to brakes quickly. The mount hold my GPS firmly in place which sits on the dashboard. Now I do not have to worry about my GPS falling and, maybe, scratching or breaking the screen or the unit. I am extremely happy with my purchase.

Simple and convenient. A great fit for my need. can remove and hide when necessary, also presents the garmin in easy to read position.
