My suction cup holder would lose grip on long trips and surprise drop off the windshield. The Garmin mount can be placed anywhere on the dash and does not slip off, does not tip over, doesn't leave a suction cup mark on the windshield and is easier to place just about anywhere. Though a little large, there is still enough base grip even when one edge is folded over dash edge.

The beanbag base is sturdy and fits in both our vehicles just fine. The mount quickly stows away when vehicle is unattended. Does not leave tell-tale windshield marks like the suction mounts,

This stand does not move. It is easy to take off the dashboard to take into the hotel, or to store .

This vehicle mount works great - stays in place with no problem. I like this much better than using the suction cup.

Love my Garmin, especially the voice command function since I live in a state that outlaws anything except hands-free devices while driving. The 6" screen is easy for my tired eyes to see.

I dont like mounting my garmin on my windshield as it always seems to fall off when parked at a store in the sun. Every time I would get back to the car and seeing it had fallen down into my console, I would be afraid it was broke. I have tried several garmin mounts from the vent clipped one to the other triangle looking one garmin sells. This bean bagged type one is the best as it has not tipped over once while sitting on my dash.

This keeps the GPS at a good level for viewing. Easy to use.

Great replacement for the suction cup. No tell-tale rings on the windshield. Can be quickly hidden when parking.

I have both the suction windshield mount and the Nuvi on dash device. I use the Garmin on my BMW Motorcycle but recently bought a convertible which did not come with Nav. I find that the dash device is getting more usage for its easier to put the whole NAV and Mount in the trunk if I decide to leave the top down for short periods of time. I also live on the border of Wi & Minn and in Minn no mounting of anything to windshield. It stays put on the dash.

No more putting the GPS in the cup holder and picking it up to look at. I have struggled with suction cup mounts for years. They don't stay on my windshield, and being small and driving and SUV, it is hard for me to reach them with my short arms. I can move this closer to me and easily change from maps to list of directions or whatever I need to do. The only thing was it did not explain what the locking feature does and came without description or directions.

This works great for me. It sits still on the dash. It is reachable when changing addresses.

The flexibility provided in placing the GPS above the dashboard at various places by this mount is ideal for moving it between our three cars. The friction base is well made and the four loaded side panels add the required weight. The mechanism for mounting and dismounting the GPS is also smooth.

I had used to stick on mount for years , Bought new vehicle and it proved to be a challenge due to slope windshield etc. So my wife researched and we bought this.
