This is the best GPS mount we have ever used. Over the years I've tried various ones, such as suction cup to the windshield, etc. Nothing works as well as this one. The weight bottom really holds the GPS securely on the dashboard. The swivel has enough movement to turn the GPS between passenger and driver for viewing. This is the 2nd one we've purchased for a 2nd GPS and vehicle.

This is by far the best mount for a GPS. I tried several other mounts and only returned them in disappointment. Once I used this one, I was hooked from the first minute. It holds amazing without having to stick or glue something to your dash, super simple to remove if you don't want people to see it when your parked for hours and it looks good. I know own 2, one for my wife's car and one for my truck.

I purchased this mount for my Garmin NUVI 50LM. I got tired of the suction cup mount falling off the windshield. This mount pretty much stays where you put it. The true test for me was New York traffic with its sudden, sometimes jarring, seatbelt-locking stops. The GPS stayed in place! If you're buying a Garmin for the first time, or even if you've owned your Garmin for a while, this mount is a good investment.

does what it was designed to do. better then suction cup

Great mount for my garmin. It stays on the dashboard and doesn't need a suction cup. Much better as thieves may notice a suction mark on your windshield even if gps is removed.

It's not a mount for your GPS, but a holder for your GPS mount. It needs to be a mount with the ball holder on back. Keep the bottom and the dash clean and it will stay still.
