It's not a mount for your GPS, but a holder for your GPS mount. It needs to be a mount with the ball holder on back. Keep the bottom and the dash clean and it will stay still.

Works good, holds gps steady. It's a little big though.

For every Garmin unit I have purchased, I always purchase this mount. It takes the uncertainty of the windshield mount away so you can just focus on driving and the Garmin. I have had the windshield mount come loose while driving and it is no fun!!

I have short arms and was never able to the attach the GPS window mount so it would stay on the window--too hard to reach, so I looked for something to sit on my dash and found this; it is perfect. I can use it, take it down, and put it back so quickly, and, when I don't want it seen by the public, I just sit it on the floor close to the seat. This mount is so easy to use that I purchased one for my daughter to use with her Garmin GPS!

This mount is very easy to use. The GPS snaps on and off with just the right amount of effort or resistance. The swivel head is very nice and stays where you put it. The bottom wants to hold steady on the dash but the dash on my truck slants forward and on rough roads it's just too much for the friction bottom to hold. We have to keep pulling it back up on top. It isn't a problem in the USA, but the roads in Canada are relentless in the pounding they give you. I really like it and would recommend it.

This mount is an excellent way to hold your GPS in a car. No need to fasten something to your car front window in order to hold your GPS. Now you can simply lay your GPS with its mount on the car dashboard and away you go. When you're done driving, take the GPS with the mount into your house away from the sun and in a safe place. It's economical in cost and very practical. Great product.

I purchased a garmin GPS with dash cam and it has worked excellent in all areas. A little sensitive on side collision if you don't have your camera exactly centered.

Nice option to avoid having to reach up and manipulate the suction cup, window installation. Stays in place. Easier for removing and storing the gps unit when arriving at destination.

This unit is much more workable than an earlier model I purchased. It comes with a pedestal to attach your GPS unit and does not slide on the dashboard while driving

Bought this for my new GPS to avoid doing window suction cup or dash velcro strips. Drove from MN to MI and GPS never even moved on my dash. Highly recommended product.
