Garmin VENU 2
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Good sports watch but small and feels flimsy for a Garmin. Recommend getting the Fenix 6, 7 or Epix 2, the latter which I most recently purchased. If you are seeking a watch that pairs with an iPhone and facilitates calls you are better off with an Apple Watch like the ultra.

Want to love this watch, but
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Nice look, lightweight and all the customization of apps i like- but random sensor issues make it unusable for sleep, HR, breathing, or associated readings much of the time. Tried reset (annoying and not work), restart, reposition (not it either, green lights not flashing) and then suddenly it starts working on its own- then suddenly stops a day/ 2 later. Havent decided if i will return for same vivo 2 plus- or try a different model. but this watch isn't right with its world - i can get a step counter a lot cheaper if thats all i get from this tech when not working properly.

Does what it says, just not for me
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Let me preface this review by saying that I am a long time Apple Watch (series zero actually was my first one) user that was looking for more heartrate, sleep tracking, and body energy capabilities. I did lots of research on the Garmin, Whoop, Fitbit, and so on only to come up with this Venu 2 Plus as being the one I purchased. I really wanted to try the Fenix 7 however that one is sold out everywhere. So I compromised and purchased this one. Unfortunately I had never even picked up a Garmin watch so when I went into Best Buy I was hoping to pick one up and use it some. However, Garmin does not provide Best Buy with functional watches for customers to try. So, I was stuck with purchasing the watch for $450 without knowing how it truly felt. Well, as an Apple watch user with the stainless steel case, I obviously know how much it is to purchase a premium watch. Once arriving home, I removed that watch from its box only to be completely underwhelmed buy the lackluster curb appeal that even a $450 watch presented itself with. Looking past the super stretchy band that felt as if it was going to break while trying to get it tight on my arm, to the Dollar Store quality plastic that the entire watch case was made out of, I was willing to give the watch a fair try. With the air temperature being 24 degrees F and the wind chill 12F, I set my watch up, synced it to my phone app, and went for my first outdoor exercise with it. Upon walking outside and pulling up my first exercise on the watch, I am confronted by a very annoying graphic on the front of the watch that says, "wait for GPS." Um what? What seemed like 5 minutes later, a bar ran across the screen of the watch and I was notified that my watch was ready to start my activity. My first thought was, "well maybe the GPS just needed to calibrate itself for its first activity." Fast forward to day two of ownership, I went out for my second activity. "Wait for GPS" showed up again on my watch. However, it was much faster than it was the first time. But this seems to be something that it has to do for every activity. Lets talk about the other issues that I have found with the watch. When trying to look at other apps on the watch, I found that each app needs to be synced with the Garmin connect app on my phone. I just wanted to see the weather but I was forced to open my phone just to do that. I dont have that problem with my apple watch. The watch and my phone app are consistently inconsistent because of the sync issue. I dont want to have to use my phone to keep syncing my watch. I wanted to do most things with my watch without having to use my phone. During exercise, you are really unable to get any accurate up to date information on your phone because it has to be synced. Overall, the watch seems to do what it is advertised to do. However, it is just not right for me. The price point is way too high for the quality of watch that you get. You can purchase an Apple watch 7 for $399 and that is at least made of aluminum. I guess I will keep looking for something that meets all of my needs and maybe one day, Apple will upgrade their sleep monitoring capabilities and add something similar to the body battery or Whoops strain & recovery. I will be returning my Garmin Venu 2 Plus.

Not a worthy upgrade
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If ecg is kept on always on, expect 1.5 days battery. I moved from vivoactive 3 and didn't find it to be a great upgrade. Yes, display is nice. New ecg functionality. That's it. Wait and get the next edition with temperature sensor and stuff. As the glass is flat, it is prone to scratches and breaking if you don't have a screen protector.

Bluetooth issues
||Posted . Owned for 7 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Unfortunately, the watch kept disconnecting from my Surface Duo even at really short distances, 6 feet away was enough to disconnect and then the hassle to reconnect everything again. The quality of the watch is solid, and a bit stiff on the price tag, but the issues I had reconnecting the watch made me return it.

Looks great however…
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It looks gorgeous and I love the extras it has such as sleep and body score. So far battery life is amazing. However the activity tracking isn’t so accurate like the Apple Watch. It stopped after a month.

Overpriced for what it has to offer.
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Not impressed. Cons: Not intuitive to navigate the settings, no flashlight (which I like to use when I have to get up in the middle of the night for water or bathroom). Battery lasts for only about 5 days for me. Pros: Beautiful display on the watch and the phone app, comfortable to wear, assistants such as google or Alexa or Siri, phone calls sound very good. Conclusion: decent but overpriced in my opinion for what it has to offer.

Overpriced fitness watch
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Hard to set up and also to add apps. The instructions are about as good as reading toilet paper. Have to google everything you want to do on it and after several attempts you have it working until you turn it off and back on.

Poor battery life
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Poor battery; this is my 4th Garmin watch and it is probably my least favorite. Battery lasts less than a day, I don't get heavy notifications either. Very disappointed.

My 1st smart watch.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.3.5 star. My first ever smart watch. I like the look and the feel of this watch. The operating system is difficult for me to use. And for being a gps watch...I had to buy a 3rd party app just to view the gps. The tones are loud and the vibration is strong. Screen is bright enough for me and the watch faces are nice, a lot to choose from as well.

Bluetooth Range a Deal Killer
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great watch, perfect size, love the Garmin app, BUT terrible Bluetooth range. If my phone rings in one room and I am in another room (even an adjacent room), then there is no alert on the watch. As a result, I missed a lot of calls. Returned to Best Buy.
