    Best Garmin watch so far.

I've been a loyal Garmin customer for years. When Polar stopped updating their heart rate gear, I switched over to Garmin, because that's what all of the pro cyclists were switching too. So I've been through 2 of their cycling computers and now this is my second watch. I still have one of the original Vivoactive watches that only lasts around a day on a charge so I needed an upgrade. At first I bought the Forerunner 265 because of rave reviews across the internet. After using the 265 for a week however, I found out about the Venu and how it had most of the same features as the 265, but also had better phone integration. The one feature that won me over completely, was the making/receiving calls on the watch just like Apple does. The speaker is clear and everyone who I'm talking to says that it's clear on their end also. So far it has performed really well as an everyday watch, and a sports watch. Hiking distance as well as heart rate seem accurate, and being able to listen to Spotify playlists without having your phone with you is a great feature for those minimalist days. Lap swimming distances are a little off but I'm hoping Garmin will release a firmware update to address that. Overall the only thing I'm disappointed in is the glass. It's Gorilla glass, but I already have a scuff mark on the edge of the screen. They should have used a more recent generation of Gorilla glass for this price range. And the black bezel around the edge show through to silver at the slightest bump of your watch against things like a door frame. If you can find it on sale, which is how I bought mine, it is totally worth buying. But I think overall it's a little expensive for the features and build quality.

Great for tracking sleep and activities. The sleep stats have led to some major changes in habits ie) when i drink within 4 hours of bed my stats are horrible so i have stopped doing it. The only downside is the lack of compatibility with other streaming services like youtube music.

Lasts a week on a charge. Got it to help monitor blood glucose with a dexcom. Works great for that. Had difficulty figuring out a lot of the features. It might be a little too complex for me. Did have an allergic reaction to the wristband. Contacted Garmin and they sent a hypoallergenic one-not as nice as the band it came with but great that they were quick to help.

New update comes with ECG. Great for my activity tracking, sleep tracking, and monitoring my SPO2, heart rate and of course my running distance or mileage every workout during the week.

Overall decent watch but lacks the training capabilities of nicer garmin watches. Missing several key measurements to track training over time that I wish I had known before purchase. Battery life is great. Screen and colors are very clear and nice but recommend a screen cover because the screen does scratch easily. The music capabilities and ability to find my phone and answer calls/texts is very helpful.

Fitness tracker with a more smart watch feeling. You can talk through speaker, message, but can’t reply if you’re in the Apple ecosystem. It has everything a fitness tracker should have and an outstanding battery live I got about 6 days. Light weight.

Love the watch and most of its features. Battery life is great as it lasts a week or more depending upon how much I use the GPS. I wish the connect app would convert MoveIQ events to actual activities, since sometimes I forget to start my elliptical activities.

This is my first time using a fitness tracker, so I don't have comparison groups. From a standalone perspective, I like the watch a lot - the screen is super responsive and bright, the features are customizable and vast, I can track almost everything I can in this, and the best part is the pulse ox, and ECG feature for me personally. The only cons I can think of are that the hydration feature syncs 3-way (web, phone app, and watch itself) and doesn't self reset every day. And sometimes my calendar shows random events that are not coming from my personal calendar. For the price I paid, I'm not super pleased about these minor glitches. That said, it's still a great watch overall!

The watch is great. Although the watch is not able to reply texts directly, it can have some preset replies. The fitness and sleep tracking is good on the watch. Battery lasts about a week.

Solid smartwatch - not perfect for iPhone users

Purchased this as a Christmas gift for my Better Half as she wanted a smartwatch with a good heart monitor, integration with her phone, and decent battery life. I've got a Garmin instinct Solar that I really love so we figured to give this one a try. Overall she's been quite happy with it and especially the battery life versus her friend's Apple Watch. Integration and functionality with iPhones aren't perfect but it's adequate for receiving tasks and most of the desired usage. She really likes the customizability of the watch's face and how easy it is to read. A screen protector and rubber plug/protector for the charging port are mandatory accessories.

Garmin quality with new versatility but it may need a couple firmware updates before it's perfect. Had some issues with connectivity to my Samsung S22. For some reason it pairs via bluetooth as simply "Watch" not Venu 2 Plus. This causes some issue with goole assistant. Minor issue as turning off and on fixes it. Had similar issues with my garmin 945 that eventually got fixed with updates. Display is amazing and accuracy is top notch. Hpefully will get better over time.

Great smart watch. As others have already mentioned some features are not the best. Don’t rely on it when it comes to your sleep. The body battery is not working well either. I can never figure out how many % are added and how many are gone. The glass is not the highest quality. I have two serious scratches in less than a month.

It's a really solid watch, battery life lasting 2 weeks is my favorite part that shines brighter than other watches. The watch strap isn't great, I'd recommend getting a fabric watch strap, it makes this thing way more comfortable!

Coming from the Watch 3, it is a upgrade but also a downgrade at the same time. pro: battery life , lightweight , oled is amazing, connects to the phone right away, hear rate and workouts are amazing . con - the sleep tracking needs a lot of improvement, constantly being told to move when i am already moving , stair count needs improvement. more software and apps are definitely needed. for the price point, i expected a lot more.

The watch is good. My older forerunner watch died on me and I didn’t know anything about the process with Garmin to fix it until after I purchased this one and discarded the other. This watch did need to be replaced as the gorilla screen got cracked during some activities. I got the replacement through Garmin. I wish I had spent a little more and got the new forerunner. It was way more durable than this one with a lot longer battery life so I’d assume the newest version one would’ve at least met that same mark.

Watch is awesome in terms of fitness tracking and battery life. The only thing i would say is touch screen is very reactive but compared to samsung watch and apple watch it needs huge improvements. Overall i would definetly recommend this.
