I’ve had nothing but praise for the Garmin Venu 3 since the day I put it on. It’s everything I could ask for in a smartwatch, and then some.
First off, accuracy is spot on. Whether I’m tracking heart rate, sleep, steps, GPS routes, or workouts, it delivers consistently reliable data. I’ve compared it to other fitness trackers and even medical-grade devices out of curiosity, and the Venu 3 holds its own with flying colors.
What truly sets this watch apart is how classy and sleek it looks. It’s got the perfect balance of modern design and premium feel, clean enough for the gym but stylish enough for a night out or the office. It’s not bulky, it’s not flashy, it’s just right.
As for reliability, the Venu 3 nails it. No lag, no glitches, no connectivity issues. It syncs effortlessly with my phone, shows notifications clearly, and I never have to worry about whether it’s going to do what I need it to do.
Convenience is another huge plus. The customizable widgets, long battery life (seriously, days without charging), fast charging, and intuitive interface make it easy to use throughout a busy day. Whether I’m running, lifting, working, or sleeping, it adapts to my routine and helps me stay on top of everything.
And finally, durability. This watch is built to last. I’ve worn it during intense workouts, outdoor runs, bike rides in the rain, and daily wear without a single issue. It still looks and works like new.
I would 100% recommend the Garmin Venu 3 to anyone looking for a reliable, accurate, and stylish smartwatch that can handle it all; fitness, health, productivity, and everyday life. Garmin nailed it with this one.

First Garmin watch. Nice hybrid

I don't normally give reviews but felt this watch deserves it. I'm not fully up to date on all the smart watches, I don't always wear one. I'm coming from a Galaxy Watch 3 or 4, honestly forget, haha. I've worn this for almost 48 hours now, been using to track sleep, I've gone for one run so far, my battery is sitting at 83%.
It takes a little getting used to coming from the Galaxy. I really like the light weight, very nice screen. I dabbled around with the golf gps and it will serve it's purpose for stats and distance if you would like to use it for that. As someone new to the Garmin and smart watch family I highly recommend this as a nice hybrid watch. I've already switched the band to something a little different. I also synced some podcasts to the watch.
My only cons is the connect IQ app is a little wonky sometimes when syncing the phone and also the interface feels a little clunky but some of that is im not used to it.
The galaxy I liked having the different "app widgets" you could rotate to. This you have something similar but you swipe down and put in the data you want to see.
The other con unless I'm doing it wrong is i can only see the current day of my synced Google calendar but not the whole month.
I can't comment on all the activities as I'm still messing around as it is setup differently than the galaxy watch.
Overall very pleased.
Synced with a Pixel 7 phone.

A Watch that Truly Keeps Watch

This is my first smartwatch purchase, and I have had this device for a month. I am something of an athlete - normally swimming over a mile in flip-turn laps every other day and biking trails. Interestingly enough, I had a very rare health crisis - an autoimmune issue that hit my heart muscle - and that has effectively killed my swim/bike season and almost me. The good news is that I am expected to make a full recovery. And that is what informed my choice of this watch. I needed something that would monitor my health - but once I regain that health, will also monitor my athletic performance. Hence the title - it truly does keep watch over me.
What I sacrifice are some of the app flexibility I would have gotten with a Google watch. That said, this still has everything I need - full health monitoring including a basic ECG that will detect arrhythmias, and a pulse monitor that will alert the wearer to rate abnormalities. It works well with the excellent Garmin Connect app on my phone (a Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra) - uploading to that app all the stats it measures where I get very detailed data and graphs of everything from my sleep patterns to ECG traces to calories burned to stress levels and much more. Clearly, I have not yet worked with athletic measurements, but I am confident those will be equally helpful progress measures. It even has a GPS maps, weather radar, and will send tracking information back home so that when I am on the trails, they will know precisely where I am on a map at all times.
As a pilot, I've used Garmin avionics. As a gravel biker, I use a Garmin Edge 530. So I have had experience with other products from Garmin and have found consistency with regard to product durability, intelligent design, and straightforward software interfaces. After a month of use, the Venu 3 meets the same bar.
Two physical attributes of note: battery life was an immediate plus in my decision to pick this watch over any of the Googles or Pixels. It has not disappointed me. And the watch itself if very durable. I've managed to hit and scrape the gorilla glass face already - not a mark on it.
The options to download custom watch faces are endless. For those who may be curious, the one depicted is Fallout (by frinkr), which has all the data I need at a glance.
In all, 5 stars all the way down - and I don't often do that.

Daily driver! You got 3-5 days of battery based on usage and light on the wrist. Many key features like hydration, sleep tracking guide, jet lag advisor, workout suggestions, etc. are free. No fancy watch faces though and I wish they included full metal casing in this version. I wear in almost all ocassions so it’s a win in my book!

I LOVE my new watch. Idecided I wanted to upgrade from my Venu 2s, and debated long and hard over whether to stick to the 3S or go big with the 3. I definitely wish there were more color option in the 3, but went with the black. At first, I was worried it was way too big for my wrist (I have tiny lady wrists) but I'm so glad I went with the 3.
One of my issues is my reading eyesight is going, which is why I wanted the larger screen that is a win!
I didn't realize what I was missing with the newer features, like the wake up messages, having sound and being able to take calls without my phone is super handy. I'm happy with the classic black color. I do prefer elastic bands over the silicone ones they come with.
I was worried it would be too bulky for sleeping , but I sello just as well with this one as my s2.
So, if you are debating between the 3 or 3s, go big!!:you won't regret it!

I bought the Venu 3 for my wife who has been using fitbits for years. Every year and half or two years we replace her fitbits, so I decided to get her the Venu 3. Surprisingly, she enjoyed the watch. She adjusted to the new system and seems to love it. The battery life is better and it works well with her android phone. If I wasn’t an IOS user I would probably invest in the Garmin system.

Garmin makes great fitness watches. I bought this when my 4-year-old Vivoactive started to lose battery life. The Venu 3 is an upgrade in almost every way. One of the features I like about Garmin watches is how long a charge lasts. I was concerned that the new, brighter screen would shorten battery life but I still get nearly 2 weeks on a charge and work out 3-4 times a week. The new heart rate sensor is accurate enough for me to ditch my old chest strap, which is a big plus. I also am enjoying the improved sleep tracking. Being able to load music and connect to my bluetooth headphones means I can run or bicycle without needing to carry my phone

Had this watch for a short time before I traded it in for the FR 965. But the few days I wore it for, it was great. More of a smart watch than a fitness watch, but it still has great features

This is my first smart watch and I'm very happy with it. I've had it for a couple of months now and the battery life is amazing. My wife has to charge her Galaxy watch every day but I only have to charge my Garmin Venu 3 once a week. Easy integration with the Garmin Connect app to see all activities on my phone. The only complaint is the Jet Lag Advisor. It was not very useful on our recent to to Japan.

Battery is unbeatable. I was originally considering a SE2, or Fitbit. But I’m not disappointed, the venu3 is packed which rich features that blow its competitors out of the water. Amazing battery life, health features, and sleek design. Yes you may lose out on Apple IOS, and controls and app features can be a little daunting at first. You get used to it, especially the battery life . Haven’t had to charge it in a week . I wear it about 14 hours a day, and regularly use apps on it.

I had a classic Samsung watch before buying this Garmin watch. Definitely better option. I wanted a longer battery life. With aod off its 10 days and about 7 days with aod on. I do wish there was a text option when clicking a contact but voice assistant will have to do so i can start a conversation on text. This one does let you custom text so its nice if you already have a conversation going. Voice assistant works with Google or Bixby, i have a Samsung phone. One other thing is the sleep schedule, it could be improved. There should be a option turn on/off as I travel a lot. I have been turning off sleep mode and dnd if i am out during my sleep schedule so it can be a little annoying sometimes. No big issues so far. Im using a previous screen protector on the watch face for now until i purchase a new one. The charger is a usb-c end with the garmin watch end. A little different than i expected, unfortunately it doesnt have wireless charging as i tried doing that with my Samung phone. Overall, I still do recommend the watch for battery life, display, workouts, and phone connectivity. Ive had my watch for 2 months so far, used in Europe and very helpful displaying info. I got this on sale for black friday at $400 compare to the $450.

I had been considering buy a smart watch for months, it would be the first one I’ve ever owned. After looking at apple and samsung watches, I decided to go with this Venu 3 and am so satisfied! I wanted it mainly for its capabilites to track my workouts. You can also get phone notifications to your watch if connected to bluetooth. Initially i bought the 41mm thinking 45mm would be too big, the 41mm looked to feminine in my opinion. I love the 45mm in black. No regrets on this purchase!

Coming from the Fitbit Sense, this watch is a huge upgrade. I loved my fitbit, it was everything I needed it to be. However, the Garmin Venu 3 has everything I didn't even know I needed and more. The battery life is great. The sensors are amazingly accurate and it's just an amazing smart watch all around.

This watch absolutely blows any Apple Watch or current Samsung watch out of the water! The battery life is insane—it easily lasts several days even with heavy use. It looks sleek, runs smooth, and tracks everything accurately. The rotating bezel is super intuitive, and pairing it with my Galaxy phone was effortless. Best smartwatch on the market, hands down! Garmin watches are amazing i want all of them !

I had previously owned a Garmin 645 forerunner which finally started to act up after 5 yrs of constant wear and tear. Garmin quietly released this gem of a watch about 2 weeks before my forerunner died. So the upgrades that I have on my Venue 3 is the difference from daylight and dark. Immediately you can see the screen resolution was a huge improvement. Secondly, I noted that the heart rate sensors are more accurate comparing the watch to the heart rate sensors on the gym equipment. Thirdly, by using this Venue 3 as an everyday watch I was looking to minimize the need to look at my phone ( if my phone wasnt in reach). This Venue allows you to look at pictures that ppl send to you along with Ring doorbell footage. It also allows you to respond back to texts and you can talk and text through your watch without having to get a cellphone plan for your watch. I got the big Venue3 instead of the 3s.

This is my first Garmin watch. I've had it for a couple months now and thus far I'm pleased with it. For years I loved my Galaxy Watch 3, but after a few years the battery life was struggling. I looked into the new Galaxy watches and they only promoted a day or so battery life.
So I made the switch to the Garmin Venu 3. It had all the features I wanted in a smartwatch, but I didn't have to worry about charging it every day. With my current settings, I can usually get exactly a week. This includes logging workouts 5-6 days a week (45 min to an hour long), sleep metrics, notifications etc.
I only have a couple issues with the watch. In the few months I've had it, I've already had 2 instances where the screen will go black but the apps will still be running and I have to reset it. But maybe that's just a normal glitch.
The biggest concern I have is the screen. Within the first month I was doing some light home maintenance and I barely brushed the watch against a cabinet and now there's a scratch on the screen. Not a huge deal, but with my work and lifestyle, I'm pretty rough on things so I have to be extra careful not to hit it on anything. I just figured a fitness watch like this would be more resilient to minor bumps and scratches.
All in all I am happy with my watch and will likely look to Garmin in the future.

I traded in my Apple Watch Series 6 for this and honestly do not regret it. The Apple Watch had issues with detecting my wrist underneath my tattoos but this watch does so with zero issue. The only downside is not being able to control my music playing on my phone with it, but it is not Apple proprietary so it makes sense. I love how fitness focused this watch is and really helps me track every workout I do for the most part. The ability to track your strength workouts down to the sets, reps and weight is a huge pro in itself. I haven’t been able to test the GPS aspect when it comes to outdoor workouts because of the cold but I’m sure it will work superior to an Apple Watch.
