    Excellent Smart Watch

The watch has great fitness tracking including a body battery metric. The screen is on par with the Samsung Galaxy or Google Pixel watch but the battery has lasted me over 5 days between charges. It also has interactive notifications including being able to respond to text messages and answers calls from the watch.

I have had the Venu 3 for about a month now and I really enjoy it compared to my old Fitbit Sense. First of all the battery life is amazing compared to what I had, I am charging once a week instead of every other day. I like the health features but haven't figured them all out yet. I haven't calibrated the step feature and it doesn't seem to track my steps as much as my old watch but like I said I have not calibrated it. I like that it automatically tracks my walking activity but it doesn't seem to know that when I mow the lawn I am still walking. I wish it had a yard care feature, it is still exercise. I have used it for strength training but am not sure how that works yet. It still has a lot that I haven't used yet but overall it is a great watch even for an old man like me. (late 60's)

Such a great upgrade from my Samsung Watch 5. Absolutely love the health tracking, getting all notifications, answer text and calls. Galaxy has nothing to compare to Garmin Venu 3. Excellent screen, long battery life (12-13 days no problem), really smooth interface. Nice. Highly recommended for Android (my phone).

Amazing Watch! I use this watch everyday, to work, but most of use is for running! The battery is other level, i can use my watch a week without charging. And I can put music during my workout! It’s just a great item to purchase

I’ve owned FitBits for a little over eight years. So my reason for getting the Garmin was that the last two fitbits didn’t track elevation. This was a little annoying on my bike rides. I also don’t believe the fitbits I owned tracked my heart rate too well during active workouts when I’m sweating. With that said, the fitbits I’ve owned in the past is my baseline for my rating of the Garmin. The Garmin is built nicely. Good premium feel and quality. I have yet to scratch the screen. The health tracking is great. The only thing I feel is off is the sleep tracker. I for comparison I’ve worn my old Fitbit Inspire 3 and this Garmin. The Garmin always says I’ve slept more than the Fitbit. The difference was less between the two when I would sleep within the duration of what I set as my bedtime and when I wake up. But when my sleep was off and I stay up later, the Garmin is thrown off. So that’s something they need to improve on. Otherwise this thing goes beyond what I need it to do. I want more watch face options. They have a few different faces to choose, with customization you can do to them.

Watch is very accurate and not to mention very light. I sleep with this watch every night. It has been very helpful in my health tracking. Battery lasts on average 11 days. Golf tracking is good for it not being golf specific. GPS is accurate along with heart rate and calorie burn.

Great overall watch. Great battery life and great fitness metrics, apps, etc. However, the ECG function is basically useless. It will give a report of being in Afib when in reality my heart is beating in sinus rhythm with PVC’s. Don’t get this watch if you need a legitimate ECG function. The Apple Watch is much more reliable in monitoring heart rhythm.

Purchased as a replacement for my original Venu. After one week of use, can confidently say it is a significant upgrade. Better display, sleep monitoring much improved, added apps and activities, along with faster overall response. Glad to have made the upgrade.

It's great it honestly is, I use it for my anxiety and to track my episodes through the stress app along with heart rate. For that purpose its great. Also works well for workouts. Only issue I have is the function with my pixel phone. Using Google assistant specifically. If you want to use this watch for it's full potential and have a pixel phone look at some of the blogs about the issues between the two. Setting up voice assistant is nearly impossible and doesn't work well. Apparently the new Google update causes the issue from what I've read. I don't use the watch as an extension of my phone but as an additional tool. So I can look past it. If you can't set up the voice assistant, you can't respond to texts, make calls, add things to calendar. You can still listen to music (control your music), see notifications (reading and dismissing them is all you can do). All the other functions the watch comes with work incredibly well such as the stand alones you only get with the watch; heart rate, sleep score, workouts and so on.

Battery life is awesome, lasts for week with always on display turned off. Accuarcy is great with dual band GPS. There are multiple apps to download and responding to texts is not as good as Apple Watch. Best for those who are serious about fitness.

My Garmin has been a game changer! I love that it can track my sleep, stress, workouts, and so much more. The battery life is great as well compared to previous smart watches I have owned. It will last about a week (sometimes a little longer!). It is also super lightweight on the wrist. I am very happy with my purchase.

    Watch is not as advertised

I thought I would write this review after having the watch for a year and a half. After talking to Garmin for the last year and a half they’ve done absolutely nothing to help me with my problems. The first one is the heart rate the heart rate is always catching up to what you’re doing. For instance if I’m working out with weights or dumbbells, it shows a low heart rate when my heart is beating fast and then once I get up off a bench arm upright then the heart rate catches up and actually goes over what my heart rate actually is. The second thing is, it keeps telling me that I reached my step goal, even though I haven’t gone up any steps that day, it has something to do with me working doing exercises on a mat and on the floor with my arms that triggers it. Also, if you just go up the hill walking or running, it’ll trigger it. The sleep score is also a joke if I fall asleep at 10:30 and I wake up at seven for some reason it will only start recording my sleep at 1:30. It misses my sleep specially if you wake up during the night, even for a minute. I don’t know how they tell this watch for all the exercises it has and for all the sophisticated physical fitness people out there that are using these way more intensely than me. I don’t trust the watch and the watch is basically a fraud. The only thing good about it is the battery life. Also the customization for the watch there are many faces, but you can’t customize what is on your watch face, for instance I wanna put miles on my watch face, but I can’t. I have to always have steps listed. There’s watches half the price to do with this. Does this well and on top of that the Garmin customer service people are a little bit snooty and have told me that these are the limitations of the watch and you have to live with it or elsewhere a chest heart monitor well then don’t advertise what your watch can do. If you can’t do it in the beginning I thought it was way better than a Fitbit and it’s got a lot of more features butI bought it for fitness and it fails in this regard. 62 year-old male active in fitness and it doesn’t work for me.

So far ao good, I have owned this garmin for about 2 weeks coming from a galaxy watch 5. The health features along with the ability to make and store custom workouts is a huge win! Its a beautiful display as well as comfortable band i have no problems wearing most of the day. However, build quality for a watch this price is extremely underwhelming. Plastic casing for 400+ absolutely not. Samsung and Apple offer a much more premium looking aluminum build which is the least I'd expect for this price. Also has limited widgets and watch faces for a supposed smart watch/health entry for garmin. These things can probably be improved with time so I'll leave my review as a 3 for now because of the health features.

I’ve had this watch for over a week and have no complaints so far. I love it. I use it for rowing, sleep tracking, and general health. It’s genuinely more enjoyable to use than my Apple Watch was. I highly recommend.
