Garmin Venu
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I switched from a FItBit and am so happy with my purchase. It tracks everything I want and it is so easy to set my watch face to my priorities The only thing that took a bit getting used to was waiting for the GPS to activate when I want to use it. Just need to select a bit before I get ready to ride or run so I can start it when I start. Highly recommend

Garmin is garmin
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Garmin is garmin. I had a Garmin vivoactive HR, the battery last longer than Venu, and the screen was always on. Obviously it hadn't the quality and definition of Venu. I expected better watch faces because the quality of the screen allows it.

Great watch for MTB
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I would have given this watch 5 stars, but it misses a lot of steps. If using this as a step counter it is the wrong watch. If you are using this watch for cycling and uploading your rides to Strava it’s a great watch. All in all I really like this watch and have been thinking of getting a Gagnon for my wife as well

Good Watch - Inconsistent connection Website
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this watch to keep tracking on my walking, running and cycling. Very nice smartwatch I have to say with a very nice screen indeed, however, it's going back. Reason: Garmin Connect website went down 2 days after I bought and its been down for several days now. They are not saying what happen however sources say that they got hacked by randsomware. Whatever the case is, its pretty pointless to have a smartwatch and not be able to access your complete stats and this has been a disappointment. What a discouragement. This watch has so many nice features that I really liked. I do hope and wish that Garmin get their online service back up but I think that I might need to with another service.

Great watch
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this watch and really enjoyed it for the time I had it. It did everything I wanted it to do but having already had an Apple Watch I had to go back to Apple. So if you’ve had an Apple Watch stay with Apple but if you haven’t give this a go. I know so many people who love their Garmins

Mediocre at Best
||Posted . Owned for 10 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Not a bad watch but there's also nothing that really impresses me. I had the Samsung Geargear sport, Samsung Gear S3, and the Samsung Gear Sport before switching the Garmin. The battery makes it right at 2 days which is no different from my first smart watch 5 years ago. When using Strava, the elevation shown by the watch is significantly different than the same route mapped using my phone or other riders around me. I would say my biggest issue right now is that my screen has suffered burn in. I don't have the always on display enabled so I'm not sure how this even happened. Other issues include the incident detection being way too sensitive and the screen being easily scratched.

Suberb smartwatch for active people
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a superb smart watch for active people. The only reason I would consider to switching to Venu 2, is the superior battery life of the latter. Venu with all sensors on lasts me for 4 days. Once you get used to the AMOLED screen, you can never go back.

Charged differently from my agreement
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The watch is excellent, but I bought this watch in Best Buy supposed to be paid in 10 installments. When was time for payment the was no option to be paying in 10 times and I surprisingly had to pay at once. I was overseas and it was not funny, I didn’t expect that!

Lacking features present on other Garmin watches.
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Garmin Venu is a great starter fitness watch. The AMOLED screen is bright and beautiful. GPS is accurate. Wrist based HR is accurate for me. My main complaint with this watch is the random features that Garmin omitted from this product to create product differentiation. I understand the lack of cycling power meter support, but some of the other recovery and fitness related features are missing and should have been here. If you are a serious runner, get a 245 instead. If you also ride a bike and need cycling power meter support, get a 745. If you want to try something new, get a Coros Pace 2. An equivalent to 745 at half the price. Also, Garmin software updates are very hit and miss and bad update significantly reduce battery life.
