I've been buying garmin for years .. so far this has been great and what I need . Easy to connect .

Ugh. I bought this watch with really high expectations and hopes for my fitness and the resulting debacle has severely dampened my spirits. I got this watch two days ago, paired it, got it running but ultimately found the GPS was completely non-functioning. No matter where I was, out in the great out doors or in home, up the street, wherever, it just would not register. I read some pretty brutal reviews stating this problem, amongst others, so I decided to drive to the closest Best Buy to me which was about 1.5 hrs away. Not a short trip. I get there expecting a simple process. Nope. Apparently the store that shipped this to me never marked it as shipped, even though they shipped it (a massive oversight on best buys part) and because of that clerical error, the folks at the Best Buy I was visiting told me they couldnt do anything, no exchange, no return, until that store updated the record stating they shipped it, even though we had tracking and everything stating otherwise. They kept us there for TWO HOURS, just standing about, no idea of when anything would change and driving home and back was not an option. Eventually they had upper management supersede things but it took ages. I drove home, flustered but optimistic... imagine my shock and surprise when I found that the 'new' watch wouldnt pair with my phone, my partners phone or an ipad or anything. We tried literally everything we possibly could. No advice online worked, garmin support answers didnt work, it just would not pair. No bluetooth connection. Hard resets, software updates, deleting the app, clearing phone data, clearing bluetooth device list, setting up wifi through the computer, NOTHING. So the first one I get had a faulty GPS, second had a faulty bluetooth. It kills me that this was so expensive and so buggy and messed up. Oh and dont even bother trying to put additional watch faces on these. It slows down to a laggy crawl. Sometimes it doesnt even respond to your touch so you just sit there flicking the thing for ages trying to get somewhere. Now Im trying to get the watch sent back to best buy and theyre presenting me with even more bureaucratic difficulties. Im really disappointed in Best Buy. What are the odds that I get two essentially broken Venu's from Best Buy? Apparently, according to reddit and other frustrated users, not very high. Multitudes of folks report having to exchange as much as 3 watches in the course of their ownership and that is just awful

I don’t know why Garmin made the Venu with the lightest color offered being beige rather than white. The sandstone color is awful in person and it looks horrible on any skin tone. White will always be a fresh and classic color and with Garmin coming out with the Venu in response to people wanting both a lifestyle and activity watch they should release it in a color that matches both casual clothing and active wear. So yes, as much as I loved the amoled screen when I powered on the watch it wasn’t enough to get me to keep it with how much I loathe the beige band and watch case. Which brings up my other issue with Garmin, if the case wasn’t beige as well I could’ve switched out the strap to be white. But since the case is beige it would look dumb to change the strap color. It’s a shame because this would’ve been my first Garmin watch but until they release Amoled watches in white/rose gold I won’t get one.

Beautiful smart watch. Comfortable and easy to program.

Don't believe that this is a good watch for an Android device. It does not answer calls, no notifications about missed calls, text messages, emails, etc. I asked an employee if this would do everything a Samsung Galaxy watch would do, and the 20 year employee who was the store manager said yes, so I made the purchase. The battery life of this Garmin watch was the worst. I charged it over night it got up to 100 percent, so I got up by 7 am and by 1045 my battery was at less than 15 percent on stand by mode.

Bought this watch for everyone in my family for Easter. Works great for exercise, monitoring sleep, etc.
