OK, good face, not so good tracking.

OK watch, apps OK, not an iWatch

I figured it was time to change companies. After countless hours of research I settled on this watch, I don't need all the bells and whistles of a fenix or Apple watch. My first Venu would not automatically connect to the external sensors as advertised. After several hours with Garmin chat they said it was defective so I exchanged it at Best Buy. Great customer service there and no issues with the return. Now here I am on the SECOND one and still same external sensor issue. I think that's a firmware issue hopefully to be addressed with a future update. I have to manually turn on the senors from the settings menu. Aggravating. But my biggest issue now is the vibration alert stopped working. The only way I can get it to work again is to set a 1 second timer, have it expire, then slap the watch on the palm of my hand to "unstick" it. This is completely unacceptable for a $300 fitness tracker. I've had to to jolt the watch four times now to get the vibration alert working again. I really want to like this watch and I'm going to give it one more try.

Just get an Apple Watch.

It wouldn't connect to home wi-fi in either place I tried, no matter what was done. When I looked online for help, this is apparently a known, common flaw. I bought this model specifically because of the option to listen to music off line, but without wi-fi function to set that up, that feature wasn't useable. There were help suggestions about reconfiguring routers and changing home wi-fi security settings. If you can't easily use it out of the box and/or can't use it with current, basic security features in place, it's not the technology for me. Want to be running trails with it, not playing tech guy! Returned watch

Returned for the instinct, and I recommend you do the same.

It freezes on the blue triangle for days. I don't have the time for this, and paid for better.

Was good, an update made it useless

Unfortunately, 4 weeks ago, Garmin pushed an update that broke the heart-rate monitoring capability. Now it reads 20-35 bpm less than my actual heart rate when working out. Garmin's forums have lots of people with the same issue and Garmin is completely nonresponsive to it

Worked ONLY for 6 months

And when I contacted the Garmin customer support, I was told I would get a refurbished watch as a replacement EVEN THOUGH I bought mine brand new!! So like old saying says “stick with the Apple Watch” at least for a while!! Very disappointed!

Warranty policy is after 90 days of use the device would be exchanged for a NOH device, it would still carry the warranty of up to one year of the original date of purchase for your original device, so you would have about another 6 months of warranty for the watch.
