Customers are saying

Customers are delighted by the vívoactive 4 GPS Smartwatch's long battery life, which lasts up to 4 days, and its durability, which is more robust than an Apple Watch. They also appreciate the activity tracking feature and the onboard music storage. While some users wish it was smaller in size, overall, customers are pleased with the watch's screen, GPS tracking, and ease of use.

1 star without free replacement from Garmin

Good watch in terms of functionality, but has some major issues. My watch died after 1.5 years, and I had to go to Garmin's support website to get it replaced. Garmin acknowledged the fact that many people had issues with this watch model, and so my replacement was for free instead of the usual $150. Pros: - Super accurate heart rate tracking. - Looks good. - Screen is very readable in harsh sun. - Lots and lots of activities can be recorded. - Decent build quality. - Replacement has much better and accurate GPS tracking. Old one was more wonky and the GPS jumped a couple meters here and there. - Battery life is approx. 4 days, or about 15 hours of continuous GPS tracked activity. Cons: - Strap it comes with is bad, allows water to sit on my wrist, and gave me rashes. - No Hike activity!!! Cmon Garmin! I have to track my hikes with "Walking" and then change the activity type in the app! - No maps. - Screen scratches easily. (I use a protector) - Battery quality is poor, and I'm not expecting my replacement to last more than 1.5 more years. - Tough to use touch screen when wet (like when swimming or sweating profusely). This is an advantage of watches that are buttons-only.

Garmin Excellent value for the $...SAMSUNG not SO

Excellent value for the $ I replaced my VivoActive3 with the VivoActive4 at the start of the new year (2022) & I am extremely pleased with the Garmin VivoActive4. I like the larger watch face, the added music storage capabilities and the PO2 features ALOT with the same GARMIN reliability and support I have become accustomed to from Garmin products ( I own a number of them) I have also used the Samsung Start watch product offerings over the years however I found Samsung's customer service POOR and their product offerings to be problematic. AS a result, I went back to GARMIN for their product reliability and support and corrected my "SAMJUNK" mistake. Pictures shown are the same VivoActive4 with the FOSSIL Gunmetal Mesh Watch Band & Fossil Brown Leather band for dress up, Fossil's Green stripped & Orange stripped Silicone Bands and the original solid black Garmin band ALL with the ability to quickly change bands makes my VivoActive4 the watch for ALL occasions.

Amazing Smart Watch, Everything I wanted and more

After 2 weeks with this watch I am beyond thrilled with my purchase. Love the workout options, on board music, sleep analysis, Garmin app on my phone, stellar battery life, and tons of other bells and whistles I didn't even know I wanted. I had the Fitbit Ionic for 2.5 years and was always waiting for them to step up their smart features, especially their golf app. When my Ionic broke due to spontaneous waterproof failure I searched high and low for a replacement. The Apple Watch may be awesome, but it's battery life is awful. This watch is sporty enough for the gym, classy enough for work or a date, and simple enough with two buttons and a touch screen to not be obnoxious. I have banged it on walls and railings a few times and no marks to be seen; I appreciate the anti-scratch Gorilla glass. I love the golf app and didn't need to buy the $500 Garmin S62. I can get 2-3 rounds of golf in before a recharge, and about 5 days of battery with daily workouts. I can't recommend this watch enough. I don't need an amoled or retina screen and I don't need to text on my phone, or talk into my watch for calls. I actually really appreciate the toned down, low brightness but always on display. I will update this if anything changes, but there are still a ton of options and things this beast can do that I haven't even seen yet.

Love the product, especially the stats for fitness tracking. The display is gorgeous and the battery life is the icing on top! Only complaint is the buggy method of adding podcasts to the watch’s storage to listen to while going for a run. It works, but just takes more effort than needed with synchronization issues. Not a garmin venu specific problem, more just a garmin issue.

I highly recommend this product. Battery life has been superb, the screen is bright and responsive and GPS is accurate. The ability to sync/download spotify playlists to the watch is also great. Ive gotten lots of compliments already, and I'm glad it has interchangeable straps so I can change them out based on the occasion. We'll see how long it holds up long term but so far I'm happy. One note as I'm writing this, Garmin servers are down and have been for several days due to being hacked. This has limited my ability to sync, set alarms, and view my history. They havent communicated anything about it yet, but I'd see how it plays out befofe purchasing

Great watch. Really enjoyed it until I decided to go for the Venu 2 which has a more vivid screen. It has all the bells and whistles most would want and then some. It’s a matter of preference when it comes to the screen. Overall if the screen doesn’t come into play no other watch is technically better.

A nice watch! I bought for the display, health status and the fact it does not come with monthly fees.

I have had Samsung, will never use anything apple, ticwatch, fitbit, amazfit, etc. I keep coming back to Garmin. I simply cannot continue to have battery anxiety. If you use ANY smartwatch of any real signficance, say for example the samsung lineup, and you use it with all day frequency and you use everything it has to offer, you won't make it to the end of the day. I have concluded that I simply do not care to speak into my watch. I don't care to take calls on my watch. The Vivoactive 4 has great battery life, the vibration motor is excellent, I can pick up a call on the watch and it transfers instantly to a bluetooth in my ear or of course the phone itself. The heart rate is accurate and if you workout vigorously, it will show the calories burned reflecting the fact that you are. The harder you workout, the faster the calories will burn and show in real time unlike the samsung watch that will show calories burned at the exact same rate whether working out or standing still. Totally fake. The screen may be dimmer than a colorful and bright competitor watch, but it has an excellent backlight, but you can more so than not see it even without the backlight, and the screen is always on. No need to always be turning your wrist. Step count is accurate. Calories burned at end of the day are not only accurate, but far greater in actual number than the samsung or fitbit. Text and emails come in fast. It is light on the wrist, but built solid. Can handle any form of water - shower, swimming, etc. And the customer support is probably the best I have ever encountered. They are out of Kansas, and always knowledgeable and professional.
