We're sorry to hear you're having trouble with the vívofit band. The device does come with a band keeper in the box. The keeper is a small loop designed to fit over both ends of the band and the clasp, which helps keep the band attached. Simply slide the keeper over the clasp.

It was a little tricky to get synced on the computer the first time but now seems to be working ok. I personally like my vivosmart better but it does not seem to be available anymore.

The company now sends a free band keeper to preclude any issues in the future. Pedometer with built in GPS to track mileage seemed like it would be worth the money. Overall happy, but don't expect perfection. Same walk route on three different days yielded three different distances. Provides a little extra motivation to get up and move though.

Posted .Thank you so much for your review! The vívofit has sensors that are designed to detect natural movement like walking or running. There are circumstances where an activity may be performed but step data/distance may not increase. This could be because movement wasn't detected by the sensors to record a step. Additionally, the vívofit doesn't contain an internal GPS receiver to detect distance--the distance recorded is based upon steps taken. The vívofit works very well at giving an overall snapshot of daily activity, but there may be some instances in which the device may not function as intended. Upgraded to a Charge 2 for better sleep insight. We would have stayed with this watch if it hadn’t had been for the issues with tracking sleep accurately enough.
