Customers frequently mention the positive battery life, accurate heart rate tracking, and comfortable fit of the Vivosmart 3. Many appreciate its sleep and step tracking capabilities, along with its waterproof design. However, some users found the display difficult to read in bright sunlight or experienced issues with band durability and syncing. A few also noted the lack of built-in GPS as a drawback.

Not the best but it did the job for a while. I had to replace though because it stopped working.

This is a big disappointment. While the appearance has improved, it's less bulky and the screen is far more readable, the performance is just awful.
I wore it for two weeks with a Garmin Fenix 5 and a wahoo chest strap to get three individual readings. The HR on all three were in sync with each other. Yet the Vivosmart 3 would say I burned 350-375 calories, the Fenix 650-675 calaroies and the Wahoo 750-800 calories. I checked the Wahoo against the Suunto Spartan Sport and Apple Watch and the calorie burn was. Within 3% to 5%.
Bottom line, there is so,withing off on the Garmin algorithms, and the Vivosmart is way out of whack.
Tech support was useless - first they tried to shuffle me off by saying to just rely on the Fenix. In other words treat the $150 Vivosmart is a paperweight. They didn't even mention the material difference on the Fenix I was supposed to rely on. They had me change a few settings and tomamVO2'max test - no change.
This is junk.

Hello Meanballer, Thank you for taking time to review the vivosmart 3. We would like to take a closer look at the calories burned estimates provided by your devices. Typically when a Vo2 Max is established you will get the most accurate calorie burn. If this is still not occurring on your device please send an email to [email protected] so that we can investigate this further.
Thanks again for posting a review. -JFH
