Customers are saying

Customers frequently mention the positive battery life, accurate heart rate tracking, and comfortable fit of the Vivosmart 3. Many appreciate its sleep and step tracking capabilities, along with its waterproof design. However, some users found the display difficult to read in bright sunlight or experienced issues with band durability and syncing. A few also noted the lack of built-in GPS as a drawback.

Functionality is Great, Durability (band) is bad

Bought in Nov 2017. Steps tracker is really accurate, stairs climbed may be a little on the high side but not bad. I thought the fit and comfort was really great. My only complaint is with the band. It looked durable enough. And I really take care not to bang it or to even test its durability at all. I simply reached in my pocket to get my keys and the band snapped off right at the thickest part where the band connects with the tracker. I was disappointed to say the least but I did go to Garmin support website and there is a note about band replacements. Even though my unit is still under warranty it looks like they will repair/replace any device with a band issue. Good job on Garmin's part to fix this issue. Stuff happens and it looks like they are making it right. I give it an average rating because Garmin is going to make it right. Otherwise, a broken band renders the device unwearable and useless which would equal a 1 star.

Not all I can say for it. I think this is even less accurate.I don't know How to Get it to register when I'm doing some activities that arent running or weight lifting or walking . yoga which it doesn't give you any credit for at all How could I be burning no calories doing hardcore yoga? why is there no pilates setting? the other one was worth the money ,this is WAY overpriced. its pretty useless.

      Kpickle,

Please review the FAQ below for suggestions on how to improve the accuracy of your heart rate monitor on the vivosmart 3. Also, if you are performing an activity other than running or walking, you will need to select the Cardio or Other profiles to record this activity. Depending on what you are doing, you may be able to change the activity type in Garmin Connect after the fact.

    Doesn't perform to potential yet

I was really excited to finally have a fitness watch with a durable screen and all the features I need. Unfortunately, the Gesture On feature doesn't work and the screen is really slow to respond. I called support and they have no solutions other than returning the device since it's still within my 15 day period. I'm really disappointed because once you figure out how to turn on all the features it works really well (unless you deadlift because it doesn't recognize that just like strollers). Oh well. Back to square one with no devices.

      Hello,

Please view the owner's manual link below for information on the Gesture feature. While our Product Support team may have already suggested this we would like you to make sure that your device settings are correct, specifically the wrist setting. If your device is setup and worn on the wrong wrist, this will decrease the efficacy of this feature.

Thank you for your review and we hope this proves helpful. Garmin

This activity tracker is awesome. I have been using it all day and I love that I can track my exercise activity and even reminds me that I need to move!

I Had no problem with my past Garmin but this one just gave me a rash in 2 weeks. I since then changed wrists and in 2 weeks the other wrist started. Now I have 1 rash and one almost healed rash. I need to stop using this. but Since I am beyond my return window. I have to remind myself to swap it. or just give up.
