The Garmin vivosmart 3 is a great activity tracker with a heart rate monitor. It is also waterproof, which gives it an edge over a similar Fitbit model.

Very easy to program and comfortable to wear. Charges quickly and holds a charge as advertised.

I wanted a waterproof tracker that had options and this one does. The tracker is pretty accurate and its easy to use.

It seems like a solidly-constructed tracker with a number of features, but something is terribly wrong with a tracker that can monitor your sleep but can't offer a smart alarm. Sorry, that was a deal breaker. I never even wore the thing. Unfortunately, I didn't find any reviews or online descriptions that were clear about its alarm capabilities, and I (wrongly) assumed that a smart alarm was a fundamental characteristic of any sleep-tracking wearable.

This is my second vivosmart. I had the last model vivosmart hr. It wasn't the most comfortable to wear. The pulse sensor was kind of bulky a left an indentation in my wrist that took a while to "kind of" get used to. This new model (vivosmart 3) is very comfortable to wear. The pulse sensor is MUCH smaller and I nearly even notice it. It is pretty much just like wearing a watch. It is waterproof for the shower and swimming so I don't have to worry about taking it off. I'm happy with the functionality. I am not a big work out person. I just wanted something to help track steps, heart rate and calorie burn. This works great for me. I did have to adjust the heart rate zones a bit so that I wasn't getting calorie burn counts for very mild activity.

Got this as a way to monitor sleep, track daily activity, and connect with my Garmin 410. Performs exactly as expected. Band does leave a mark on your wrist, but is expected. Reading text and email messages is challenging on such a tiny screen. Would love to see changeable bands. Seems to be very durable as a couple of mountain bike crashes and a frequently playful puppy has done little more than put a small dent in the screen that does not affect operation.

I've had the Vivofit, the first vivosmart, and now have this. It works really well. The step count is pretty good, but the stair count is usually low. I like the smart notifications, especially seeing who is calling when the phone is in my pocket. The Bluetooth range seems better and syncing with your phone faster. The continuous heart rate is neat, but not sure about the usefulness. The display on the first vivosmart was dimmer and got dead spots after a year, I went thru 2 of them, so hopefully this will last. The clasp is more watchlike and easy to close. Garmin True-up also means I don't have to wear this all the time, I can use other Garmin products and still keep track of my steps. I definitely recommend the Vivosmart 3.

Love this product. It is a great way to manage your physical activity and stress and sleep patterns. Would recommend it to anyone who is interested in having accurate information about their activity and an accountability partner.

My wife wanted an activity tracker that she could use in the pool. This was the best waterproof one I could find. Turns out, it also has a lot of other great features and was fairly easy to set up.

Pros: syncs well, is pretty accurate Cons: does not automatically detect sleep. Im a third shifter and sleep at night on my nights off. Even when i change my sleep/wake times it doesn't always detect. My cheap fitbit even did that.. Overall its a decent buy

Charges quickly, accurate counter, and movement reminder vibrates (rather than just light up). Good upgrade from my previous Garmin. Waterproof. Stair counter is awesome.

Bought this for my grandma so she could track her progress during exercise classes & monitor her BP, pulse, etc throughout the day. I set it up for her so that I could explain to her how it works. Pros: Fast charging battery Clips to keep charger attached to watch Slim width of bracelet is attractive for slim wrists Easy to follow instructions in the app make set up fast & easy Nice feature that allows user to decide what they want the watch face to look like (what direction the numbers face; whether or not the date is visible; digital or analog watch face) Cons: Screen does not stay lit for very long Screen is EXTREMELY touch sensitive. It would switch to a different function if I held my finger down too long or accidentally bumped the screen If you’re looking for a basic level fitness watch (like I was) this really isn’t it. It almost has too many functions. I still don’t know what all of them are & the instructions booklet is not particularly helpful

I am a big Garmin tracker fan because I am a swimmer and no other trackers offer full swim capability. This is my third Garmin. The first was a Vivosmart..nice unit but the display died. Garmin refunded the purchace. I briefly had a Vivosmart HR but didn't like the thickness. Went to a Vivoactive but didn't care for the the clumsiness of its operation. The Vivosmart is just perfect. Love it!

Had a Vivosmart HR for 2 1/2 years and it was just getting raunchy (but was still working), so replaced it with the Vivosmart 3. Lower profile band, but does everything the HR did, for a lesser price. Very happy with it.

Great all around with lots of options. I wear it everyday and bought this as an upgrade from the previous model. Never comes off except to charge once a week or so and that only takes 30 minuets.

I was hesitant about this at first because you have to charge it. I liked that the vivofit never needed to charge. Turns out it’s no big deal. I charge it about every 4 to 5 days for about an hour. It is a little slimmer than the vivofit and less bulky. The heart rate, stress, and sleep features are great. I don’t use the phone text notifications so I can’t review that. Seems like the screen would be to small for that to be useful.

Ever since activity trackers came out, I've preferred Garmin. I love how comfortable this Garmin activity tracker is, only thing I would like to get worked on is the battery life.

This is a great tracker. I love that it’s waterproof. I’ve swum with it many times and never had an issue. The display is easy to read and the battery life is pretty good.

In general, this is fairly accurate. The Vivosmart HR+ double calculated base calories that occurred during activities. The VIvosmart 3 is accurate with step counts and with calorie counting. It is a little slow in picking up my heartbeat for intense cardio workouts, but in general it does fine. The only reason it isn't getting 5 stars is the buckle broke after less than 2 months and now I need to find out whether Best Buy or Garmin is willing to provide a replacement device or replacement buckle.

We love this product! Simple to use. We bought for my son, he’s 7. He loves it and think it’s so cool to keep up with his fitness like mom does.
