The touch feature is hard to activate. The instruction manual is poorly writen and hard to understand. I would not purchase this product again.

You should be able to double tap the touchscreen to wake the device, hold the touchscreen to view the menu, swipe left and right to scroll through the device features and menu options, and tap the touchscreen to make a selection. Posted .The vívosmart tracks the motion of running through its accelerometer. Certain activities with repetitive motion will count as steps. Some examples are taking a shower, brushing your teeth, and driving a vehicle on rough terrain.
To keep the device simpler we did not add GPS tracking but we do offer many watches that are GPS enabled for live track and managing activity.

I bought it mostly to keep track of my running such as distance and calories burned. I also loved the fact that it shows notifications. So far so good. My only dislike is the app as far as tracking running distance. It needs some work. My tracker will say 2.0 miles ran(accurate), but when I log into the app it said 1.something miles. So that was off, I even double checked what my treadmill read as well. Other then that, not a big deal because I mostly rely on looking at the tracker itself. Oh, I also love the sleeping option and alarm. :) I would def recommend to any young adults or anyone who is into fitness.

I take care it like a baby , I have it since October 15 and now May 8th I can't used it anymore since a few weeks. I cant see anythig on it , the screen numbers and information it is gone, so I can use it and nobody on bestbuy give me any help about it.

Posted .Tasha, the vívosmart DOES have a silent alarm you can use. To set it, you log into Garmin Connect, click Devices, click on the vívosmart, then go to Device Settings. Alarm is included along with display options. Simply turn the alarm on, set the desired alarm time, then designate whether you want the alarm to go off every day or only on weekdays.
