Let me start by saying I'm a swimmer. Therefore I have 2 Garmin products: The Garmin Swim and the Vivosmart. I would prefer to have one product that combines swimming and walking. And because the tracker is also a watch, I'd prefer to be able to view the time at any time and not have to swing my hand up to my face, which is awkward when driving. I also have the Vivofit which is not backlit, which turns out to be very inconvenient; on the other hand the time could be viewed at all times. I do not like the computer interface of Garmin products. Too confusing. But I can use both the Swim and the Vivosmart at one site.. I also don't like to have to charge the Vivosmart every couple days because there's not convenient time to do it without losing data or sleep time. I'm still looking for that perfect activity tracker for us swimmers. I would like to sit down with one of the designers and tell them what I think is important.

Posted .We do have a product that combines swimming and walking with many other activity trackers on it. The Forerunner 920XT does both walking activity and swimming. This product does focus on multiple sports rather than just swimming but it’s something worth looking into.
The vívosmart battery performance varies based on many factors, for example the number of times it is used with the heart rate monitor and the smart notifications from the phone. There are some Bluetooth updates on some operating systems of the phones that have improved battery life of the vívosmart. Be sure to check updates on firmware of your phone and vívosmart.

The band provides just enough information, is responsive when I need it and is a great alternative to wearing a watch. Just wearing a fitness tracker causes me to be more conscious of moving around and eating right (I have it paired with Myfitnesspal) and lost 10 pounds in the first 5 weeks.

The berry is what my wife wanted but the screen didn't work right and Best Buy says this one is no longer available. It's just meh. It's perfectly good for the price. Water proof is nice. Alerts with iPhone suck(too many). Good battery life
