His siblings and us all have either Garmin or FitBits so he was the only one not tracking steps. He was so happy with the watch and it is easy to sync. After a week of using it he is really enjoying the tracker and stays on top of his steps to reach his goal. Great tracker!

Only drawback is 1-3 times a week the Bluetooth disconnects from my phone and I have to power down both devices and re-establish a new link between them (Galaxy S5).

Excellent features but sync issues

First impression was easy setup and has tons of extra feature. Biggest plus was water proof unlike which I wanted. Tried for 3days and ended up returning and went for Fitbit charge HR. My observations are: Pros: Waterproof huge plus compared to others Extra features like call, txt, message sync with phones In wrist HR monitor unlike other models of garmin products Very good battery life(used for 3days with out of box charging still has half charge left) Default setup has everything Move bar with vibration Display shows all features and easy to access Cons Does not read the stairs correctly tried (big decision maker for me)multiple times but still did not show correctly Difficult to read as the display shows perpendicular to your vision Lcd display hazy to read as brightness quickly switch App shows lots of thing but slightly flashy Biggest drawback for me fitness pal setup. I think it applicable to most of other brand as well. If you want setup better the brand where your most of friends are. Unfortunately my pals are in Fitbit unless you want setup through Facebook. The large wrist one was too tight for me

The "Floors Climbed" feature is reliant on both the elevation sensor and your arm movement to detect if you are ascending or descending. It can take some time for the device to learn your specific movements which in turn will increase the accuracy of that data in particular. You can adjust the display orientation of the vívosmart HR via the device settings in your Garmin Connect account. In addition, you can link your Garmin Connect account to MyFitnessPal via the website or mobile app.
