Good little Health-O-Meter
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My wife and daughter both use a Garmin Vivo model of this health monitor,. I have the VivosmartHr because it continuously monitors heart rate. Then can report an All Day heart display with the high and low. Of course it has all the rest of bells and whistles or step, exercise, challengesd, etc.

First high-end fitness tracker purchase.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Garmin is the dominant GPS device manufacturer. I have owned several Garmin GPS devices. Always satisfied. So, I had very high expectations for the VivoSmart HR. Black Friday price at Best Buy was terrific. Conclusions using the product so far: 1) the display *backlight* is mediocre; 2) the Android app is complex, not intuitive, and without adequate documentation; 3) my BIGGEST complaint and disappointment is the material used to produce the main device module. It is an extremely *SOFT* plastic which is highly susceptible to damage. I am not a careless person...but my device has developed severe scratches and indentations from ordinary wearing and mild physical activity. At this price point, it's inexcusable. Thankfully, the discounted price helps. NOT HAPPY!!!!! Come on Garmin. I know you can do better.

Good product, apps no so much
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased this Garmin to replace my Jawbone Up tracker that failed when it got wet. Really enjoyed using the data the Up provided and believe it helped me stay motivated and lose over 25 lbs. The Vivofit's water resistance, display and sale price seemed like good reasons for consideration . Unfortunately, the apps Garmin uses suck. You have to use to different apps to track different information, you use the Garmin app to access HR, sleep and activity data but it uses another app to track food consumption (My Fitness Pal). The Fitness Pal app is now riddled with advertising and is generally frustrating to use and who wants to go back and forth between two apps? I expect way more from a name like Garmin and will definately read the reviews more closely when considering any future Garmin purchases.

Not a bad smart-tracker for the price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This works great for me because I just track steps, heart rate, and calories (and it synchs real well with MyFitnessPal. If you are looking for something with a little more accountability, not sure if it would work for you, but I like it for what I needed it for.

Lots of features for money
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my third vivofit, had original and then #2, and now, this HR. I really enjoy the extra features in this watch/activity monitor. It was easy to setup the software and I actually update and review weekly. Its extremely helpful using the heart monitor to keep track. I do hate, not really, it telling me to move when i've been idle for a period. Great product.

Easy to use
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My wife and I both just got the Garmin Vivosmart Hr. The 2 of us could not be happier. Yes it is waterproof, however if you have to dry it off when you get out of the shower just as well take it off before you get in. Nice to know though that if you forget your watch will be safe. Would not buy any other would definitely buy again if I had to do all over.

Great for a beginner activity tracker
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have purchased four of these watches, (one for myself, my two parents and my husband). All of us love the watches and enjoy competing with one another in weekly challenges. Only complaint is that the stair tracker is not accurate in always determining whether or not you went up or down stairs. The app for cell phones is very user friendly!

Perfect coach that sits on my wrist
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This tracker is great it works for me it has been a positive this summer as far as that lil motivation some days! My wife has the Fitbit Alta good device but the touchscreen on it is aggravating to use especially in mid walk, run,or workout which we do together. We are not fitness guru's lol we just keep track for our jobs that pay us bonuses for getting into shape & maintaining that. The Vivo sits perfectly on my wrist in terms of comfort hardly notice it through the day or when I am sleeping. The numbers are big & legible it's very durable and syncs with ease with several of my devices. I had a Samsung Gear would not sync the Vivo did it with my cell phone & tablet easily my MP3 player as well. Overall the reminders as well as the Vivo page you sync up & Garmin Connect which is your home page for your device are perfect as reminders & actual help tools in your fitness journey highly recommend this product it's been great for me.

Fitness Tracker
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Switched from Fitbit due to a number of replacements and wanted something that had name recognition. Looked into others but settled on Garmin due to other Garmin GPS devices purchased in the past. It's water resistant which is another feature I wanted and has more features than Fitbit. Has held up well so far and band is comfortable.

Great beginner tracker
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this tracker as a gift for my husband for father's day. He enjoys tracking his steps with it to help him get in shape. It connects well with his Android smartphone. He likes the ability to read his texts with this and since he works around water sometimes, he likes that it doesn't break at the first sign of a splash.

Generally works well
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Generally works well and is water proof. It isn't perfect (stairs climbed is never right). The distance walked is always somewhat greater on mine versus my wife's for the same 2 mile walking path. Still it is a good guide to my general activity level.

It is much better then fitbit
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It is much better then fitbit because it is water proof. so no need to take it off for shower after work out. I have been using fitbit for about 2 years I changed 4-5 times because they stop working due to water. If you work hard you will sweat so any sport gadgets is not sweat/water prof then it is not good wasting money on it.

Good product
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased for the heart rate function and it does seem to be fairly accurate. Coming from a Vivofit 2, it takes a little adjustment, such as remembering to charge up, first charge lasted 5 days. The auto sync for my sleep time works good too.

Work great for motivation
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Not very accurate for walking usually doesn't work on treadmills ellipticals or steppers. But keeps you noticing to meet goals. Scratches easy. Bulky not very dressy. When trying to keep active while nicely dressed. But it works well enough

Ok for what it is!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Wish it would sync better with my Iphone each day. You have to open the app on your phone and eventually about 10 minutes later it might sync with the device. Halfway thinking I should have bought the Fitbit Alta or something else from Fitbit

Great Tracker
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I absolutely love this tracker. I have had a Fitbit in the past and this one is way better, especially for the price. There are so many feature not only on the tracker itself but in the app also. I find it to be more accurate than other trackers.
