Real bad Garmin older versions worked better

Hi I bought this in black Friday 2018, by mistake I didn't used it right away. And I didn't bought a protection plan due this type of garmins are supposed to be a 100% OK due the brand, price and history. Why was I needed to be forced to buy a protection plan when you buy something that's supposed to work fine? Based on what its advertised per that brand and the specifications, I started using it by Jan 2019 due I was very busy with work.Big MISTAKE,When I first started to use it I compared the tracking activity to and older version of garmin, FORERUNNER 310 XT, this last forerunner garmin its so old I expected the new vivoactive 3 Music to Fly against this older version and what was my surprise?? The new Vivoactive took around 8-10 Minutes to get GPS signal when my older version did this in less than a minute. When running the GPS lost the signal a lot of times, therefore my activity ended up incomplete when transferring it to Garmin Connect. The battery its awful I don't know why it dries dead when its turned off as if I had it turned on. And last the tracking activity its awful , looks like I'm recording my activity with my cell phone, rather than a Garmin. And you can not blame the GPS satellite reception because same day when I use older garmins the route show nice and right on the on garmin Connect. I Tried to return the garmin and bad news , Since I didn't bought it the protection plan I was not covered no more, and Best Buy wont support me no more. They refer me to Garmins website. I try calling by phone and as always along time before you can actually speak to a human, at least a 30 min wait, after this I was simply transfer me to another and got really frustrated and desperate so I hang up. Then I contacted garmin by Chat since there's no physical way to contact them here in San Diego. The agent ask me to erase some files and to change the activity from recording it by segment to record it by second, and also to erase a couple of files by connecting it to my computer. This helped a bit but the tracking activity accuracy its still awful . By now Im stucked with this garmin, and I still have to use my older garmin when I go to a important competitions due I can not rely on my "brand new gadget"

Bought this to track distance when I bike/run. Wanted to be able to listen to music without having to carry a phone. I have been trying to sync to I heart Radio for 2 days; however, I've been unsuccessful. I transferred some music from iTunes but the Bluetooth connection to my Jabra elite sports is awful.

I was saving up money for quite awhile to purchase the Garmin vivoactive 3 music but it was gifted to me by a friend. However, the thing only lasted a month before a short fall from my hand totally shattered the screen. Garmin support was marginally helpful and refused to stand behind their product. Screens are conveniently not covered by their warranty. The original price that was paid for it was $350 and Garmin wants $140 just to repair the screen which is obviously poorly designed and will probably break again soon. I even had a screen protector on it that only manged to keep the broken shards from scattering everywhere. I was offered a "one-time goodwill offer" to have it fixed for $95. I cannot recommend this product or other Garmin products and will encourage people to look to other brands for higher quality smart watches.
