I’ve had several fitness trackers in the past. Themis one is fat and away the best in regards to ease of use, accuracy and battery life. I am very happy with the additional widgets and apps you can easily add.

I've had the original Vivo Active for over 4 years now. This is a great improvement in almost every way. Light, easy to use, plenty of features, good integration to Garmin Connect. Well worth the costs.

I purchased the Garmin VivoActive 3 to replace my Garmin VivoFit HR and love all of the additional features. It's comfortable to wear 24/7 and pretty stylish too. I purchased a leather wristband to 'dress it up' and it looks like an expensive, designer watch. I haven't experienced any issues so far and am glad I made the purchase.

I have owned all the vivoactive models except the 4. I have used friends other smart watches and I have to say, this is my favorite one. The battery, even with GPS use, will last me close to 6 days, it looks good too. The band seems to have been improved on the newer iteration, which is great because the first time I bought this watch, the band broke twice because it just wasn't that durable. I love how I can take a shower, swim, and do outdoor activities, where I sweat a lot, and this thing has no issues. I would highly recommend buying this, especially since it's gone done in price. It's truly a great watch.

I used to have the basic vivoactive watch. When the band broke and I could not replace it I bought the vivoactive 3 smart watch. I love that there is a GPS feature and a lot of indoor activities like yoga, treadmill and other cardio activities. It holds a charge for about a week. The only thing I haven't figured out is when I first used it for the treadmill it asked me to verify the distance to the treadmill. I di it. But ever since then it hasn't aske me to verify and the watch distance does not match the treadmill distance. A small inconvenience and I am sure if I google the million page instruction manual I would find the answer.

Loved the device until about a week ago

I moved from the Vivosmart HR to this device the first week of October. I made the switch to add the GPS component. I went back and forth between the HR plus and this device and ultimately decided on the Vivoactive 3 because of the way it looks and the color display. The first couple weeks were great and exceeded expectations but as of this writing, the connectivity between this device and my iPhone 7 is basically nonexistent. I've unpaired, repaired, wiped everything, manually restarted, pretty much everything available to me as a consumer and when I do get it to connect it lasts about an hour. Garmin knows of the issue and basically says, we have a temporary solution but the issue will reoccur, sorry. 'We're in contact with Apple and are working on a solution' but to me this is not good enough. The device does not serve it's intended purpose without this connection. So as of this writing, I would not recommend this product or any Garmin wearable to anyone. I would have returned it but Best Buy's return policy is 15 days...really?!?

wanted something to track sleep, steps, heart rate, etc., that looked more like a "real" watch than cheaper trackers. This one fit the budget. Easy to use and set up. Like the auto start feature for activities. While it will connect to my phone, I have only set a few notifications. If you set all notifications to sync with your phone, the battery goes really quickly. I can usually go up to 3 days without charging. Charging is quick, usually less than 30 minutes.

Great battery life, touch screen, nice design. However, the smart notifications don't always work. It disconnects from my phone constantly. It is not a reliable smartwatch.

I am a loyal Garmin enthusiast and love my new watch/tracker. I have a really small wrist, but this fits just fine. I appreciate being able to customize the home screen and believe you can download even more faces online. I'm still trying to learn all the features. It's extremely customizable in regards to activities tracking, stress management, etc. I also picked this one because it's water resistant and I only have to take it off to charge it. Oh, and battery life is great! Would purchase again. Get a screen protector though so you don't scratch it!

Great Fitness Tracker, after using Fitbit

I have been using Fitibt since the Fitbit One, which is the second clip on tracker the company has ever made years ago. The last Fitibit I owned was the Fitibit Versa before using this Garmin Vivoactive 3 for the first time. My Fitbit Versa was having a lot of software issue and hardware issue (bluetooth connectivity, battery life) I'm a tech savy person and I was just frustrated with all the issue with the fitbit product. Being a Garmin fitness tracker user for the first time, I was impressed by the sophistication of the Garmin Connect App which provides a lot of fitness data compared to fitbit (avg speed, cadence, elevation etc.) The GPS or GPS + Glonnas on the Vivoactive 3 is very accurate and you can see the detailed route for your walk or run in the Garmin Connect App. Heart Rate Monitor is also accurate, compared it to an external Heart Rate Monitor and it's off by 1 or 2 bpm, which is not bad. On the other hand, there is one thing I do miss from Fitbit and that is the sleep tracking. Fitibit knows when you are sleeping or taking an afternoon nap. The Garmin Vivo Active 3 also has sleep tracking, but you need to set a sleep time; for example, if you set your sleep time from 10pm to 8am, then it will only track sleep between those times. The steps is accurate also, unlike Fitbit where it would still count steps even if your driving. Overall, I am happy the Garmin Vivoactive 3 and would recommened it for any tracking for a marathon run or for the average who wants to improve there fitness/health.

    Outstanding Fitness Smartwatch

I’ve been a Fitbit owner for some years, but after exploring options and reading reviews I decided to give the Vivoactive 3 a try - really glad I did. It’s feature packed, well designed and constructed, intuitive, and handsome. It’s everything my Fitbit Blaze is, but with embedded GPS, 3 axis gimbal, barometer and a host of other sensors, coupled with an easy to learn/use interface, right down to easily interchangeable bands for everday use, and a GPS signal that locks with no delay, it’s so much more. If you’re looking for a full featured fitness smartwatch at a reasonable price, give the Vivoactive 3 a try.

Battery lasts about 7 days on average and I like how it looks, too. My only request is that I wish the battery would last longer when I turn on GPS+Glonas (I get on average about 8 hours). My Garmin Edge 520 lasts up to 12 hours

I have owned the watch for almost two months now and I love it. I previously had an apple watch series 2. The vivoactive 3 brings so much more to the table in terms of fitness tracking features in a sleek design. I would recommend this device to anyone interested in getting serious about tracking their fitness activity. This watch also doubles as what I like to think of like a notification center. The watch brings in all notifications from your phone with a subtle vibration, adding all the more utility to the watch.

For about 1/2 the price of Garmin’s flagship Fenix 5 you get the features most likely to be used by 90% of athletes. It’s high quality, looks nice and does a great job tracking runs, etc. Definite recommendation.

Normally I buy the Flagship of product line. So happy I saved money and purchased this model. Has everything I need and does decent job. Always have Phone with me so did not need music option. Purchased it for Cycling, Skiing and Walking activity tracking. Concerned with Heart Rate and Blood Pressure recently. Watch tracks HR well. Synchronizes to health app. Garmin Connect displays data from activities and Sleep well. Too good on the sleep... Battery life typically three days with combined use. Recharges fast
