Gps for golf, walking, running, and biking works just fine. Easy to read screen in sunlight. I am having problems with some golf metrics. This watch is supposed to recognize every full shot and record it. Out of 14 drives hit recently, watch showed 3 tee shots. Missed a number of second shots also. Watch has option to edit shots, but that is too many misses. However, I am keeping it because it's a great looking, comfortable watch.

I have always had Fitbits but had gotten tired of them breaking as soon as the warranty period ended. Decided to try out Garmin vivoactive 3 after reading good reviews. So far so good. It is a heavier , much better built watch. I like the touch screen and ease of seeing all my data. My only gripe is that it keeps disconnecting and reconnecting to my phone if I dont have my phone within 10 ft. I may have to play around with settings or something.

I use this watch mainly for hiking and walking no for the smart watch functions. Nice job with independent (no cell) GPS tracking. So battery has lasted using GPS for 2 days of my hiking, about 5 mi/day. Quick recharge. The charger is a little inconvenient to use as it plugs into the back of the watch and sticks out at a 90 degree angle from the back. Notifications okay when paired with phone but you have to pre-program text replies. Overall a good GPS enabled smart watch.

Great design and look. Fits nice. Functions well for running and cycling/ steps but lacks some features that are on the Apple Watch.

I have had this watch for over three months and use it daily. It is very attractive and very functional. I use it to track walking, walking on our treadmill and mapping cycling. It looks like this year doing laps at our community pool will be out due to the corona virus. It is very easy to use and I love that it has just one button and touch screen as an interface. Many of these watches have numerous buttons and I would never keep them straight. I also love that you can customize watch faces and even add your own. You can also add cycling accessories for speed and cadence which I will do in the future. Get one while you can.

I just had upgraded from worn-out Vivoactive to Vivoactive 3. LOVE IT! It became wake up pest. That is, I set reminder at nights to remind me to take pills and I got reminded every 10 minutes until I finally take pills. LOVED IT!!!! This watch has done much better job tracking my steps and it gave me much more motivation for exercises especially walking, hiking, swimming, etc. LOVED AND LOVED!!! Much more comfortable than original Vivoactive. I STRONGLY RECOMMEND you get it and you will not be disappointed!!!

I can't speak highly enough about this smart watch. Simple to use, fantastic battery life and stylish to boot, Garmin has created the perfect device for just about everyone.

This is a replacement for my Vivoactive HR. Style is so much nicer in round rather than the polygon shape. It’s easier to read and allows for a better data arrangement depending on which watch face is selected. Using Garmin IQ, there are multiple watch face selections and a multitude of apps. Being able to swipe the face or the side to move to other screens is a nice touch. The heart rate monitor is quite accurate. Some of the indoor apps like treadmill walking/running are a bit clunky. The only thing missing is a BP/heart monitor. All in all, it’s a great watch at a good price. I certainly recommend it and would definitely purchase it again.

When I read the reviews of what it could do. I had to get it for my cousin because he is so health conscious and constantly traveling. We were able to help him set it up with very little problems. It seemed easy enough to do. He really loves it. And is so addictive to sports..everyday i here how much he loves it.

I love everything about this tracker. I was already a Garmin user with one of their more basic models so I was familiar with the app. I chose this one because I am able to completely customize the watch face, and there are quite a few creative ones to download (separate Garmin app). I have mine on about 60% brightness and need to charge it every 3-4 days, so I am pretty happy about that. sometimes the device will not sync with my iPhone, I am not sure if that is a Garmin issue, or an iPhone issue. Normally shutting off my bluetooth and turning it back on resolves the issue.

I got the vivoactive 3 as a replacement for my old vivoactive HR. The 1st pairing to my iphone 7 plus seemed to go OK but some features that had worked with the old HR didn't on the new 3. Made a trip back to the store so the Geek Squad could fix the issues. They checked all my settings and everything appeared to be correct. They deleted my phone from the new 3, reset the 3 and re-paired them. Everything worked fine then. the new 3 is more comfortable to wear. the bluetooth range seems to be a bit better. It charges quicker and syncs quicker to the Garmin connect app on my phone. I found more watch faces options for the 3 than with the old HR

Purchased for my wife, a long time Fitbit fan. She loves it! Loves the look, function and accuracy. Takes just a few mins to recharge.

Purchased for my wife. It isn't quite as intuitive as Garmin claims, and the online user manual doesn't give the correct instructions for setting the correct date. But once she used the "set time using GPS" option, the date changed correctly. She plans to search YouTube for Garmin and user videos. So far she likes it a lot. We did have to special order a fabric watchband, as she's allergic to the silicon bands. Good purchase, much cheaper than her original section, and still has all the functions she wants.

I can track my activities. Easy to navigate the options. Quality watch for this price! Con: Not much customizable options!

I bought this as a gift for my daughter who told me that this is exactly what she wanted. I did a little research and found it to be a good product. Best Buy had the best sale price that I could find. I am happy with the ordering process and quick, free delivery.

Great battery life. My wife and I hike quite often and this watch is great for keeping track of our steps and heart rate.

My wife and I run with the Fenix 3 hr watches, and we got another for our running 15 year old that has now done 3 Halfs. We got our 11 year old into running some, but didn't want to go totally out, so we got him this watch for Xmas. At first it was really annoying to the point we were charging it every 2 days because the light would stay on for long time and even overnight part of the time if he moved around. Because he didn't have a phone, we landed up syncing it up and creating a Garmin Connect account on our laptop with Bluetooth. We flashed the watch, and that fixed that problem and now it last a week before re-charging.
