Literally best sports watch and smart watch. Im using it for running, but you can also swim, bicycle, walk, etc..and has heart and sleep tracking. If you're pro triathlete go for the Fenix 5 because of better battery and more sports options.

Great for casual running and biking. I’d go a step up if you are into competitive running, biking or swimming. More than enough for tracking your fitness.

Good quality device in terms of hardware at least, quite a few some software issues Widgets reset relatively often (~once every week or two) and so you have to repair and download and rearrange widgets when that happens. Sleep tracker algorithm isn’t very accurate to determine when you’re asleep or not (I’m not moving actively, but reading a book 30 minutes before sleeping should have more than enough movement to know I’m not sleeping). Battery life, HR tracker, overall pretty decent and as marketed.

Brought this for my wife. She enjoys the activity functions when she is walking. The battery stays charged for a few days before needed to be placed on the charger. Her use is moderate with text and email notifications.

I used to have Fitbit’s but became unhappy with the tracking. The garmin is soo much more accurate. The dashboard is different but I am getting used to it. Excellent value with the plus of many different watch faces

Still in great condition 1.5 years later. My only gripe is that it disconnects from Bluetooth from my phone so often so I constantly have to reconnect it.

Love this smart/fitness watch. It was $80 less than my other brand and included additional features for athletes. The only drawback would be to make the watch slightly smaller for women.

Couldn't be more happy with this watch. I've had two other brands of smartwatches and this one blows them both away. I wasn't sure the battery life would be as stated but after a month a full charge still lasts for several days.

This is a great fitness tracker. I also golf 3x a week and use it for my yardage. With the Connect app I can also see the yardages of each shot. The interchangeable band is wonderful. I already bought a pack of 5 different colors.

I had used a Garmin forerunner 220 for tracking my running activities for the past 3 plus years and it always performed flawlessly when it came to tracking my runs both outside and indoor when paired with a Garmin footpod. Never had issues with it recording my distance accurately for the most part. After doing some research, I decided that I wanted a new running watched that also offered a HRM and sleep tracking. I settled on the Garmin vivoactive 3, because it was primarily a running watch but also offered a built-in HRM, sleep tracking plus other activities tracking options. Here goes my observations after using the VA3 for 4 months; GPS: I find the GPS to be accurate in most cases, but had several instances after my runs that the GPS completely went of course, meaning it showed that I had ran through some areas that I know for a fact I did not, completely throwing off my run tracing. Never had this issue with the forerunner 220. Activity Tracking: I find this to be highly suspect in terms of accuracy. I find that VA3 has a tendency to over exaggerate or under state activities stats in a lot of cases. While I do appreciate the sensor, I am of the opinion that it's not as accurate. There have several instances that VA3 stress tracker showed my stress score to be high and all I did on these days was watch TV at home and sleep. Keep in mind I'm an active runner & go to the gym regularly and these were my resting days where I don't do either. Indoor activities tracking like running on a treadmill is highly inaccurate even when paired with a Garmin footpod that I had used for years with my forerunner 220 with zero issues on accuracy. I find that when I run on the treadmill and start sweating the VA3 tracking sensors just looses it and gives a complete false reading of my pace, time & distance. Sleep tracking, I find its data to be highly questionable. In some instances, it tracks how many hours I slept but then it wouldn't have any data attached to it, like my deep sleep levels or any info of sorts. Software: To Garmin's credit, they seem to push out updates frequently but then I noticed that each time an update is done it seems to mess with something else within watch. Battery life: I average between 3-4 days tops! Final thought, I would not recommend the VA3 because I find that for its price, your money could be better spent elsewhere on a different Garmin watch or competitor brand.

Great watch and way cheaper then an iwatch. Does everything I need it to do. Track activities, message / phone alerts. Cannot speak to text or speak on calls, but not an issue for me.
