The Garmin vivoactive 5 is a versatile fitness smartwatch. It easily tracks various activities from running biking or tennis to even swimming, thanks to its built-in GPS and water resistance. The vibrant touchscreen is easy to navigate, displaying notifications and health metrics clearly. Battery life was surprisingly good, lasting several days even with regular use. Overall, the vivoactive 5 is a solid choice for fitness enthusiasts looking for something reliable and stylish.

Worst smart/fitness watch I've ever had

I've had Fitbit, Garmin, and Samsung (Tizen and WearOS). This was the worst of them all. Likes: nice screen, long battery life. Dislikes: sleep tracker never worked (even on the replacement unit). Several times it stopped recording my 2+ mile walks, got home to "0.2 mile walk with 85 steps recorded." Buttons are awkward to press. User interface is not consistent and is not intuitive. Proprietary charging cable! Screen protectors are hard to find and were poor quality. I returned it. And kudos to Best Buy, their patient geek squad, and their knowledgeable sales staff for making this experience relatively painless!

Love this watch! Bought for my husband as a gift after receiving one myself. The little watch does so much and is durable. I am a nurse and clumsy so this watch has sttod up to a lot of wear. The husband works construction and it has lasted with no scratches for a few months so far. Only complaint is the band that comes with is uncomfortable.

Have no connectivity to my Samsung phone. After several chat conversations still not resolved. Other apps seem to function OK. Sleep App not very accurate (they want you to purchase their sleep monitor)

My only real complaint is that, although the heartrate readings are accurate, if I exercise without turning on the corresponding app, my max heartrate is not logged. Otherwise, I have thoroughly enjoyed my time using the watch!

Starting my fitness journey I knew I needed a new watch, even though I had an Apple Watch. I absolutely love this watch! It helps me start in control of my fitness goals. Super easy to use!

Great watch. It has many features that I like. It is pretty easy to use and has a good battery life. I like this better than the fit bit. I like that I can personalize the face to see certain results on the screen at all times. It’s comfortable and fits well. The price wasn’t too bad either. There nothing so far that I don’t like

An affordable alternative to the traditional Apple Watch. It was easy to pair with my iPhone 16 Pro. The greatest feature is that the battery life is quite long compared with other devices like this one. Simple enough to use and easy to install on my iPhone. Well worth the price for the power. Quite satisfying overall.

    Not Sure How Accurate

I purchased this device after being a longtime Fitbit user. I wasn't happy to lose key capabilities on my previous device so I looked for alternatives. I would say the jury is still out but here are some initial observations. The most disappointing feature is the auto-tracking. It simply is not working like it should. Mid-activity the tracking stops. It's happened every time I tried to use this feature. Despite NUMEROUS troubleshooting steps give to me by support, it continue the same pattern. I also told support (repeatedly) that no, I did not stop at a light or took a break when it stopped. I was walking in semi-rural areas and was mid-stride without stopping AT ALL when the device stopped tracking. Once I was going up a steep incline. The second question mark for me is the sleep tracking. I'm not saying that it isn't accurate but it gives very different results from Fitbit. I don't know which is more accurate. Personally, this device has far more "stuff" than I need. I do like the face of it and the snapshots. I don't know if it's just me but I often have trouble with the top button that I don't seem to have with the bottom button. I'm hoping with continued use, glitches will work out. I put No to recommend but that could change (I hope). Positive-battery life, comfort, look

I previous used a fibit. In comparison this Garmin watch has good battery life. I charge every 2-3 days, bright screen, love all the stats and workouts available thought the app and then I can add my own. Its helpful with tips and reminders to walk or rest if I had a stressful day. I also enjoy seeing my sleeping score.

Went from an apple watch to this for more health related information. This is my second Garmin as the first one would not hold a charge for more than two days and was promised this would last a week and that is another reason I left Apple. I am on my second one and realized you cannot use everything on the watch or the battery doesn't last. I really like it but not being able to use everything due to the battery life is not optimal.
