No, I would not recommend this to a friend Had for year and a half now, miss my vivoactive 4.

They got rid of the stair climbing metric on this watch. I feel the step counting is off unless you tell it you’re on a walk. It frequently loses connection to my phone while it’s in my pocket. It’s overall a good watch, but I wish I kept my vivoactive 4.

Worst smart/fitness watch I've ever had

This was the worst of them all. Likes: nice screen, long battery life. Dislikes: sleep tracker never worked (even on the replacement unit). Several times it stopped recording my 2+ mile walks, got home to "0.2 mile walk with 85 steps recorded." Buttons are awkward to press. User interface is not consistent and is not intuitive. Proprietary charging cable! Screen protectors are hard to find and were poor quality. I returned it. And kudos to Best Buy, their patient geek squad, and their knowledgeable sales staff for making this experience relatively painless!
