Customers recognize the vívofit 2 Activity Tracker's exceptional battery life and ease of use as significant advantages. Many appreciate its water resistance and sleep tracking capabilities, while some find the syncing process challenging and express a desire for a heart rate monitor. The device's size and clasp have also received mixed feedback. Overall, the positive aspects of battery life and ease of use appear to outweigh the concerns regarding syncing and the lack of a heart rate monitor for many users.

This little device is comfortable and doesn't need to be removed to be charged or near water (washing dishes or showering). If the battery goes one year before replacement, that is far more convenient. I have a larger wrist for a woman, and the larger bracelet holder of the two fit fine.
The screen numbers are far larger than the Fitbit and easy to read and use. Good substitute for my watch.
Synching with Android has worked well too.
This little device has worked well in motivating me to do the extra steps at the end of the day. Great purchase.

I watched YouTube reviews before purchasing this product. I read online reviews as well. When I was in the store, my main question for the Best Buy associate was - what do you see people but and be happy with and what are the complaints?
So, I hope that tells you this review is serious.
I love this wristband. It fits loosely on my wrist and is accurate with my daily activities. When I have it too tight, I develop one of the infamous rashes associated with all activity trackers. When I run on the elliptical, I can access the information through the Garmin Connect website to adjust the details since no activity tracker is going to be accurate. They don't try to be fancy with a cheap and inaccurate heart rate tracker but instead offer a pairing with the most accurate form of heart rate monitor which is a band that goes around your chest - something I hope to get for Christmas!
Cost, ease of use, longevity (I forgot to remind you this never needs charging), and style options made this my best option for an activity tracker. Fitbit is not it only option :)

I really enjoy this product. I wanted a "pedometer" type of band, but also needed a watch. This does the job. The claim is that the batteries only need changing on an annual basis. It seems to keep good track of my steps, and as a plus graphs my sleep pattern (don't know how it does that).

I use my tracker for tracking steps and sleep. I have also used it to track exercise (walks, runs). Prior to using the Garmin I was using a Fitbit Flex. Generally I like the Garmin a little more. Two of my favorite differences are the long battery life-no charging- and the fact that it is waterproof. All other features formatted well and pretty accurate.

I have had it for a couple months now. Overall it does what I wanted it to do. It tracks your steps, steps needed to reach your goal, the time/ date and mileage. The display is easy to cycle through the different values so you can see where you stand. The display does require light, so you can't view at night. I didn't like the latch that holds it on your wrist. It took me a while to get it on and off. No worries about it coming off during any type of activity. The only thing I don't like is the reset of the inactivity timer. It works good to remind you to get up, but it seems like it does not want to reset, even if I am up and moving around. Overall I am satisfied.

The main thing I was after was counting steps - but it does that, as well as a decent job of tracking sleep. I particularly like the fact that the batteries last for a year or so before needing replacement, and that it has a nice backlight.

I love my vivofit 2! I never have to charge it and it seems to be pretty accurate in terms of steps. It also doubles as a watch which I really like. It feels great on my wrist and is very comfortable. I have used fit bit flex, charge and the vivosmart and I think this one beats them all in terms of longevity tracking and bang for you buck. It even syncs up by itself occasionally to my phone. The Garmin app has been revamped as well and looks really great and gives information that is helpful in understanding your health patterns.

This tracker is very accurate / water proof & doesn't need to be charged. I'm a big guy & there was plenty of room on the strap + comfortable... It also has a backlight for night time use . What else do you really need ?

I have tried several activity trackers (vivofit 1, Polar loop, Fitbit Surge, Withings Pulse O2, Withings Avtivite Pro, Samsung Gear) and without a doubt the vivofit 2 is the best, easiest to use and the fact you don't need to recharge it has no comparison

Apparently accurate step count.
Being waterproof is a nice feature.
Erratic sync with iPhone.
Absolutely NO instructions and not terribly intuitive to set up

I had a bodybugg previously and it was super accurate, although bulky to wear and had to take it off to sync it. The vivofit is easy to wear and sync, but not super accurate. It seems to be fairly good on the daily steps but is off by 0.1 to 0.15 miles. I walked 5 (verified) miles and the vivofit showed 4.5. I like that it is waterproof and there is no nightly charging.

One of the main reason I chose the Garmin Vevofit 2 was that you never have to charge it. ( has a 12 month replaceable battery) After watching video reviews of other devices and seeing how you have to take them off every time to charge it I was sold. So if you want the basics of a great tracker that you can wear and not worry about it, then go with the Garmin Vevofit 2. Though it may not have all the bells and whistles, it covers what we all want, to track our sleep and activities. I have had it for about 2 months and I love it.

After reading mAny reviews, decided on this activity tracker. Wanted the display on my wrist and didn't want to have to charge it. Not tracking your activity when it's being charged! I'm 66 and not real techy but I was able to download the app and using the sync feature several times a day to my iPhone! Love the sleep monitoring system too. I check my sleep first thing on the morning to see how much REM sleep I got ! Amazingly accurate on the step count too. Very happy with the purchase.

Had vivofit 1 before this upgrade. Vivofit 2 is still water proof, more than 1 year battery life. Loved the added features such as back lite and avaivity timer.

I researched activity trackers in my price range for several weeks and finally narrowed it down to two. I chose the Vivofit because you can swim with it. Down the road I can add a heart monitor if I want. The Vivofit works great. It appears very accurate especially for something you wear on your wrist and it doesn't measure any steps taken when I dress unlike another one my son tried. It measures miles very accurately. Paired with My Fitness Pal, it has helped me lose weight.

I've had a fit bit flex for about a year and while I liked it, the one the one thing I hated was the need to charge every couple of days and the clasp was a pain to fasten. On the advice of my boss, I looked at the Garmin Vivofit 2 and fell in love. It has an actual display that features the steps, time, date, how many more steps you need to reach your goal, and a reminder feature if you been sitting still to long. Best part...no need to charge it. Battery life should last a year. The phone app is a great interface and easy to understand. Sync it with MyFitnessPal and you got a beautiful of tool to use to help your goals.
There is 1 downside, I believe it may be too sensitive to some motions and may count that as steps (although it would be activity) Other than that, I have no issues and highly recommend it.

This is a good product if you don't want to get too technical. It is easy to read and does exactly what it is suppose to do. Nothing complicated about it. The controls to change from steps walked to goal to calories burnt etc is easy and under the band on the top unlike the Fitbit Charge which I had before and 2x the stem broke off. Definitely worth the money as it is less than all the other trackers. Bought it for my wife and she loves it.

Pros:
-Easy to read display (hold button for backlight)
-Lightweight
-Waterproof
-Latch holds band on very securely
-"Brain" is removable so band can be replaced if damaged, etc
-Battery life is great, no charging needed
Cons:
-No built in heart rate monitor but easily connects with chest strap monitor
-App leaves a lot to be desired, not very user friendly, and lacks a lot of features present with other fitness band apps

My Garmin Vivofit 2 has been an awesome "get a grip on my life tool! Pair it with My Fitness pal and keep track of caloric intake too! It lets me know when I've been sitting on my tush too long and also notifies me when I've reached my goal. Better accuracy than my pervious Fit Bit Zip I haven't taken it off since I bought it. Love that it's waterproof.
